Can I cancel, but continue to access my account?

I’ve just signed up, and I’d like to avoid auto-renewal because I’ve got a habit of signing up for things and forgetting about them. Hopefully won’t happen here, if it works well for me, but I’d still like the option to stop myself from forgetting and getting charged.

Thanks!

Hi @cornslop

You will have to cancel and resub from your account page manually.

Hi @cornslop

You will have to cancel and resub from your account page manually.

Understood, thanks for that! But the question at issue is whether I'd continue to have access until the billing period ends, or if access is revoked immediately upon cancellation

Hello @cornslop,

When you cancel in the middle of your billing period, you should still have access to your Shadow until the end of the current billing period.

If you cancel and resubscribe while you are still within your current subscription cycle then your data will still be on Shadow nor do you have to pay again until the next billing cycle.

For example, if your subscription period is January 1st - February 1st and you decide to cancel on January 3rd, you have until February 1st to resubscribe to keep your data.

If you cancel and your subscription cycle ends, and you decide to resubscribe your will need to wait for activation and will be provided a new Shadow. For your reference, we do not keep your data on our data centers once your subscription has been terminated/cancelled as the data will be deleted.

For example, if your subscription Period is January 1st - February 1st and you decide to cancel on January 3rd, but you decide to resubscribe on February 2nd, then you will have to wait for activation and then be provided with a new Shadow.

Hello @cornslop,

etc etc

Brilliant, thank you for the detailed response! That’s how I was hoping it worked, glad to have it confirmed.
