Future of the Chicago Data Center?

Just got my Shadow PC built yesterday.  I noticed higher latency and I was surprised to find out that the Chicago Data Center is not up and running.  I live in Michigan and it appears I have been moved to Dallas or New York.

Just curious if anyone knows what is going on and what to expect in the future.  The latency currently isn’t ideal but in the short term is fine, but I still would like to eventually have a Data Center closer to me.

Hello @odishy
Here a post from the English discord community (#community-news channel):

Good evening @Shadow News! The last users have been migrated out of Chicago. Servers are offline now. The Chicago datacenter has been removed from the status page https://status.shadow.tech/ and is now no longer a part of Shadow anymore.
You can check the updated coverage map here

What now?
All users who have been in Chicago before are now in a different Shadow US datacenter. New York and Texas are the closest to Chicago and is a safe place for all the people affected by the shutdown. This is planned to be a (temporary) solution or compromise, until new OVH sites go live. All users affected have received an email a while ago, explaining where they have been migrated, and where they will finally be migrated (if they are being migrated again).

Yeah, I’ve been a customer for years. They could at least give a partial refund.
