Hello, Lately I've gotten more and more frustrated by the unavailability of the additional storage for Amsterdam. I have been very patient (been waiting for over a year, and never once have I seen additional storage available. I've asked support about this, but they say that I have to be patient. The problem is, that I can simply not play certain games like Ark: Survival Evolved, because it takes up more space then I have available. I understand that shadow cannot snap their fingers and create more additional storage, but I want to post a suggestion. If this is a monetary problem, I would be willing to pay a one time fee to expand the availability of the storage, to make sure that I at least can upgrade my shadow. I understand that one guy donating doesn't make a difference, but I would be willing to pay 50 euro's if I could have at least 250 gb of extra storage (and of course the 3 euros p/m that it costs for the extra storage). I'm quite sure a lot of other guys would also be willing
IT makes no sense to me what so ever. To send me a email saying your shadow pc is ready just log in and bla bla blah. Shit still aint ready and i still cannot get into the damn pc, So why send me the damn mail when its not even close yet. arrrrghhh this company is driving me crazy
I came back after a few months of inactivity. Every time I’m trying to resubscribe I’m getting “Legacy customers should use our initial interface”What exactly is initial interface? I was looking everywhere for an option to subscribe, nothing. Only preorder option giving me this msg every time.On top of that I found out that power upgrade priority is for people that still were on boost waiting list. I was on Infinite list for months and cancelled after Shadow announced they will not offer Ultra and Infinite anymore.And I was an user since the beginning of Shadow.Now I remember why I cancelled.C’mon man!
You can access your account page here: https://account.shadow.tech/. Once you’re logged in, you’ll see a bunch of tabs on the left-hand side of the screen. My AccountThis stores all of your basic information: name, phone, etc. My ShadowUse this tab to factory reset your Shadow. Please keep in mind that this will wipe any existing data from your Shadow but will not reset additional storage. We highly recommend saving any information you’d like to keep on your local device before you initiate the factory reset. SecurityThis is where you have the ability to change your email or password as well as download any information from your Shadow account into a JSON file. If you do not have an active subscription or outstanding bills, you’ll have the ability to delete your account here as well. This will wipe your Shadow and delete any existing information on it. Created account nearly 2 hours ago, still in the “waiting for activation” phase. Very little faith in a company that does not honor their commitments. It should not take so long to spin up a new instance, it's not like resources are configuring manually. Preparing to cancel if this is not rectified within the next 30 minutes.
I am trying to connect to my Shadow via the app for iPad OS. After waiting on loading screen with the message “Waiting for Video” for a minute or so, the app is always returning to the app home page. I have tried shutting down my Shadow, waiting for ~15 minutes, and then attempting to reconnect, only to achieve the same results. I tried troubleshooting my internet connection based on the help article here: https://help.shadow.tech/hc/en-gb/articles/360011196119, though maybe this is out of date? All of my results were above the minimum requirements. I’m not getting any error message from the app, so I have no idea what is causing the connection to fail. Any advice here short of a full Shadow factory reset would be much appreciated.
Storage is available for purchase through your account page under the “Subscriptions & Billings” tab starting April 23rd, 2020. However, once storage on the data center has run out, you’ll no longer be able to add additional storage to your account until more is allocated or someone gives up their additional storage. When additional storage becomes available, you will be able to add/remove increments of 256GB to your Shadow via your account page, up to a total of 2 TB of additional storage. Storage is charged per month. Once your order is confirmed, you must shut down Windows and reboot it in order to activate your additional storage on Shadow. You’ll find all additional storage on the D Drive on your Shadow. We highly recommend backing up your data on any extra storage you’ve purchased just in case you end up removing the storage.
You can find your subscription period in your Account Page: https://account.shadow.tech/. Shadow is a monthly recurring subscription so each payment will be due on the same day each month. Your subscription also won’t start until your Shadow has been activated so you won’t be losing any paid billing time. For example, if you purchased Shadow on April 21st, 2020, and your subscription wasn’t activated until May 2nd, 2020, your subscription will go from May 2nd until June 2nd and you won’t be charged until June 2nd. If you’re on a monthly subscription, you will also have the ability to cancel your subscription through your “Subscriptions & Billings” tab. Once you initiate the cancellation request, your subscription will be cancelled before your next invoice is set to be sent out. You will get to use Shadow for the paid amount of time. For example, if your subscription is for May 2nd to June 2nd and you cancel your subscription on May 21st, you will be able to use your Shadow
Activation is the process your Shadow goes through in order for you to access it. This includes assigning a GPU, CPU, storage drives, etc. for your Shadow. Activation times: What you should knowActivation times are based on current wait times and availability of resources. Wait times can increase due to resources becoming available at a slower rate. During a delay, activation times depend on available components, employee resources, data center capacity, and how many other Shadow users are waiting that ordered before you. As all these variables change on a day-to-day basis, we do our best to project the most accurate time for activation wait time.Getting ready to use your Shadow Once your Shadow is ready for use, you’ll receive an email confirmation. Hi everyone, I purchased a month of Shadow Boost last night and it’s showing that my activation time is September 30th. I’m wondering if this is an error I should be concerned with, or if I should cancel and re-order. Has anyone run into this error with the dates before?
There are many would-be Shadow users who have gotten their activation dates moved back to December 31st 2021. I just wanted to tell the people who have their activation dates the same to not expect Shadow to deliver on time and consider a refund. I don’t think that Shadow will be able to deliver on Dec 31st because:It’s a seemingly arbitrary date that MANY subscriptions were pushed back to There is no way Shadow is going to be able to handle the amount of people that are all supposed to get activated on the exact same dayIt just seems like Shadow panicked and pushed a bunch of subs back, so don’t expect them to deliver on time. I’m expecting that the majority of the subs listed as Dec. 31st will pushed back even more. Personally, if the date gets moved back further, I’m just going to get a refund.
Hello everyone,I pre-ordered my Shadow in January 2021 and now the activation has been postponed again. First from June to July, then to 30. August and now to 31. December. I#m really disappointed that it was postponed again without any information. :’( Is it the same for those who pre-ordered in January? best regards Chelios
