Dear Shadow,I've been using Shadow now for a good solid year with a yearly subscription.I signed in to Shadow due to the fact of having this neat set up which I can take where ever I go and still having decent performance with my own Virtual PC on whatever device.Mostly I'm using an Intel NUC mini PC to connect to Shadow to play games, but during travels I would use my Chromebook for some normal administration work.So far I've been a real fan of the concept and how it worked.However… Now, since the price increases significantly, and I need to sign in for subscription renewal, I wonder if it's still worth it.The machines are not being upgraded, service and communication went down the drain for large part of the year (since the big announcement) and it doesn't seem to improve soon.Isn't it just cheaper now to buy a laptop with fairly decent specs?Example: Asus ROG Strix G15i5 10th Gen, Nvidia RTX3050, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD > around 1000 eurosSo lets say I keep it for 4 years, that's 100
I purchased Shadow Boost on July 18 (available at August 2020), but I can't see any important information about the "Pre-order" tag in my account and he show me the error that he can’t get my pre order data. and I don't receive any update Mails about my pre-order.I just want to make sure that I have not been forgotten. Is there the possibility for more detailed information? Thanks for help :)
Hi all, I really hope someone can help me here. I preordered a Shadow Boost on October 30th, 2019 together with a Ghost and additional storage (256 GB). I was charged for all three at the time. Since the Ghost and the additional storage did not show up on my preorder page and were not included in my order, support advised me to cancel my order and place a new one - which I did. When ordering for the second time (on November 1st) it said on the order page that I had enough credit in my account and I was not charged again. All three products did now show up on my preorder page A few days later, I got refunded 14,99€ on my CC. And then I waited. On March 12th, 2020 I contacted support. They told me that everything was fine with my order but could not give me an exact date. I waited again. On April 17th I contacted support again. On May 8th they told me, that I will be activated with top priority. 20 days later, I’m still waiting … Is this normal? Is there anything I can do?
I ordered Shadow today and it said that I was not going to get access until October 28! That is ridiculous in my opinion! I ordered Shadow thinking that I would be able to get it the next day but I have to wait for over a month! Why is this? Shadow can you fix your stuff? I was really hoping I would be able to play Half Life Alyx soon, but that is out the window. I can tough it out but I really don’t want to.Please say this this is not the actual date and that I will get it earlier!
In light of the delays being announced via individual email lets all share our new projected activation time frames. Data Center- Chicago Order Date- 5/15 Projected Activation- Early July Reason Given- “Due to current events, our partners were unable to deliver your primary storage on time. Therefore, we are unable to activate your Shadow until then.”
Cancelling Shadow and downgrading from Infinite. (I know that's not possible but what are my options anyway?)
Hello, recently subscribed Infinite User here, I know there isn’t really a way to “downgrade” yet, however there’s a few problems I’m having. I’m not looking for refunds to what I’ve already paid this month or last month, or hell, even what I pay for my next billing date since I don’t even know if Shadow has already charged me for Infinite yet.The issues I’m having is apparently my internet, since I haven’t had problems in the past before Shadow with slow downloads, slow uploads or lag, and using N-GFN without connectivity issues. I thought my internet would be good enough for Shadow, but apparently that’s not the case. Even with Shadow Boost I never had as much lag or screen display degradation. I also just learned a few hours ago that a buddy of mine is upgrading his PC so I’ll be getting his relatively new “old” computer parts. Seeing as this is the situation now, I can’t think of a better wording, so I don’t see the point in continuing to keep my membership at Shadow.However, despi
okey, now its almost 29 days since i should have gotten my pc. ive been waiting a gat damn year for it!!! a year without any straight answer or anything from you people. Im beyond mad at this point and really thinking about taking this brand to court, cause you have not lived up to any promisses given to me or any of us. a breach in contract big time, and you do not stand good in a case like this. So either you get ur heads out yall asses and start delivering what was promissed or get ready to close all the way down. cause if i sue, i go all in. cause im dead tired of these scammers like ur selfs
My Shadow says subscription starts July 6th 2020. I show Storage amount. My orders read (0) is there a delay of a day or two when I can start it? It shows under my subscription but I have not received an email. If this question has been asked I couldn’t find it sorry :(
Hello all, I’m moving to New York from Chicago later this year and I was just wondering what the policy on switching my shadow to a different datacenter would be. I bought the 1 year package so I am kind of locked in. At the time of buying I had no idea I was going to have to move. Now that it’s set in stone and locked in I was just wondering if I could have my shadow moved. Thank you!
So I forgot about my shadow and have not used it just over a month, however today is the last day before my bill renews and I am currently trying to cancel yet the option is not there. I have sent support a ticket but I don’t know how long that will take, does anyone know why the option is not there?
To whom it may concern, Ordered my shadow boost back in april. Have opened multiple support tickets. Shadow is still not activated. No one can give me an eta on my shadow which i find to be a complete lie because someone in the data center has to know what system their currently working on. Ive missed out on multiple game releases because of this. I understand the whole corona virus but if my own retail store in NY can be open and i manage online orders im pretty sure some egg head can atleast give me an eta on what rig their installing. Sincerely, one pissed off consumer.
