I am trying to connect to my Shadow via the app for iPad OS. After waiting on loading screen with the message “Waiting for Video” for a minute or so, the app is always returning to the app home page. I have tried shutting down my Shadow, waiting for ~15 minutes, and then attempting to reconnect, only to achieve the same results. I tried troubleshooting my internet connection based on the help article here: https://help.shadow.tech/hc/en-gb/articles/360011196119, though maybe this is out of date? All of my results were above the minimum requirements. I’m not getting any error message from the app, so I have no idea what is causing the connection to fail. Any advice here short of a full Shadow factory reset would be much appreciated.
i was told id receive my shadow in under 5 business days its the 5th day now and still haven't heard from anyone. the only thing that happened was that they delayed it even more. it just stinks because it was portrayed to be a quick and easy thing when it hasn't been.
Do not promise my shadow will be activated in under 72 hours if that is not the case. When I first ordered it said my shadow would be active in under 72 hours. Then it changed to under 5 business days. Now the date is December 31st. Delays are fine but do not promise such a quick delivery date if that obviously isn’t the date. That is blatant false advertising, and I’m considering cancelling my order because of this. Just be honest. Just last week it said “by December 31st” and then suddenly it changed to “in under 72 hours” meaning they knew it would be ready by the initial date but changed it to 72 hours to draw in more customers. Not cool.
So, i wait now almost 2 years for my activiation and i know the situations around that company right now but it would be great to have any timeframe of the activation. Can you give me/us some hints or clues when we get our activation for that? Location: GermanyServer Location should be: Amsterdam There are no updates or anything for the estimated time and that is not ok. I repeat ALMOST 2 YEARS. Regards, Patrick
Just got my Shadow PC built yesterday. I noticed higher latency and I was surprised to find out that the Chicago Data Center is not up and running. I live in Michigan and it appears I have been moved to Dallas or New York. Just curious if anyone knows what is going on and what to expect in the future. The latency currently isn’t ideal but in the short term is fine, but I still would like to eventually have a Data Center closer to me.
Hi there,i’m waiting for the availability of additional storage. 256 GB is not contemporary any longer. On my account page the buyable storage is remarked as “sold out”, the last entry of this topic is written on June 2021. Is there something ongoing? Hi, my icome varys (comes in on different days of the month) what would happen if my funds come in after my shadow due date?is there flexibility in this? i don’t want to lose it cos my pay is days/weeks late.or can i pay off (card payments) on a month that i get payed late? just asking for peice of mind really.chris
hello guys 1 week ago i reveiced my Shadow after 6 months i have been waiting for a long time and i payed with my credit card for 1 month and there is my question,after this month my shadow will finish? or will automaticly renew? i just dont want to lose my account and wait a long time again
Well, I am writing this with absolutely zero hope for a solution to be found here but as I am apparently not allowed to discuss this on the Discord and support has been less than helpful. I am now trying a new avenue. A simple search here or on the Discord server can show you that people are being randomly banned for crypto mining who very well might not be. I know I for one was not, and any simple look at my Shadow would show that. Not really sure what else there is to say. I turned my Shadow off the night before, woke up the next day and napped at some point. Around 1 p.m. I received an e-mail saying that “forbidden activity was detected” followed by a ban about 30 minutes later saying that I was stopping Shadow from turning off. My Shadow was not turned on, nor did I ever do anything to stop that. Obviously I believe this to be an error and I see a lot of other people having the same issue. Despite that support sent me an accusatory response basically calling me a dirty crypto miner
Hi,I’m working in France, and my company wants to subscribe to shadow for all employes, but we havn’t been able to get in touch with anybody from the sales department.I’ve asked to the support line, and they gave me an email, but I never received any response and even when I try to bool a meeting on your app, there wasn’t anybody showing. Is there any other way to contact the sales ? Thanks
Hello, I'm requesting a refund since I was only able to properly use the service for like 24h and then it started stuttering on it's video after 10 or 15 min of logging into shadow, I have checked everything and still stutters and freezes for no reason, I have also tried GeForceNow or Xbox Gamepass cloud service that requires the same amount of network capabilities and never had one issue so it is not an internet issue or my peripherals.

Graduated levels of frustration.At this point, I just want my access restored through the file explorer so I can get the files I need and close my shadow account after 5 years.I understand that the company is going through a lot of changes, but as a customer, I've had to put forth around 8-10,(a 500% increase VS the past 4 years combined) support tickets this year, my price raised, and I'm getting less and less service. I'm paying for a service, and I've outlined avenues of compromise on these issues to accommodate the amount of shifts occurring internally, but they've been disregarded.It is not on the part of the customer to accommodate your company's internal shifts, and if it does fall on the customer, it's an even less sustainable business plan than previously.I have had 2 months now at the new price, whic
There are many would-be Shadow users who have gotten their activation dates moved back to December 31st 2021. I just wanted to tell the people who have their activation dates the same to not expect Shadow to deliver on time and consider a refund. I don’t think that Shadow will be able to deliver on Dec 31st because:It’s a seemingly arbitrary date that MANY subscriptions were pushed back to There is no way Shadow is going to be able to handle the amount of people that are all supposed to get activated on the exact same dayIt just seems like Shadow panicked and pushed a bunch of subs back, so don’t expect them to deliver on time. I’m expecting that the majority of the subs listed as Dec. 31st will pushed back even more. Personally, if the date gets moved back further, I’m just going to get a refund.
On 5 October I was billed for my first payment under the new pricing structure. going from $12 USD to $30 USD. While I understand the need for this price increase it does bring up a concern. I was fully prepared to transition from Shadow Boost to Ultra when it became available. My logic was (and is) that $360 a year would still be less than I’d likely spend on PC hardware upgrades over the same period of time and the hardware on Ultra was more than adequate for my needs. Now I am essentially paying the same monthly cost as Ultra without the benefit. The hardware currently running “my” Shadow is the equivalent of a six year old gaming PC. Which brings me to my question.How long will we have to wait before we find out what the new hardware landscape will look like for Shadow? Speaking frankly and for myself alone, the $30/mo I am spending for Shadow could easily be put into a new gaming PC with better specs.
I just preorder my shadow tech account 3 days ago. I’m trying to contact shadow tech customer support which doesn’t exist I guess. I have read something on the google that said shadow tech won’t be accepting preorders until December 1st 2021? If that’s the case isn’t that considered scam or mislead customers? Shadow Tech has told be after paying preorder that my shadow tech will be available in 3 days. So now I’m confused on when will I have my shadow tech equipment. Will I ever have it? I have read some other reviews and some have even waited 6 months?! I do not want to wait 6 months after being told my shadow tech account will be available in 3 days. Does anyone know how to contact employees that work on customer support because I feel like I have been lied to. If anyone doesn’t have information to contact directly then it’s okay and I’ll just cancel my “preorder” hopefully I can request my refund.
