The website won't let me cancel my subscription
When I try to cancel the website gives a pop up at the bottom that says “oops something went wrong”. I need to cancel today before my subscription is renewed tomorrow. Seems very shady. Can someone from support cancel it for me here? I already contacted support but they never reply. Might have to get lawyer involved.
Can I cancel, but continue to access my account?
I’ve just signed up, and I’d like to avoid auto-renewal because I’ve got a habit of signing up for things and forgetting about them. Hopefully won’t happen here, if it works well for me, but I’d still like the option to stop myself from forgetting and getting charged.Thanks!
When will memory upgrades be available again for the California Data Center?
Hi,I mainly use shadow for gaming and some of the newer releases I am playing have gotten to chonky to fit on the 256 gigs offered with Boost. Is there any news on when memory upgrades will be available for the CA data center?
Operation Reboot - already moved?
I joined Operation Reboot with reset of the VM option when it was announced, then i got a mail that i will be moved on the 18.02.2022.On the 18.02.2022 i got another email that they gonna start on this day and it will take a bit of time until mid march, to migration everyone.Now i noticed that my Shadow has an german IP which is located near Frankfurt am Main, so i think i already got migrated to Limburg?Then there are two other questions if i was already migrated:Why wasn’t my Shadow reseted as announced?Will there be additional Storage available after everybody got migrated?

Activation is the process your Shadow goes through in order for you to access it. This includes assigning a GPU, CPU, storage drives, etc. for your Shadow. Activation times: What you should knowActivation times are based on current wait times and availability of resources. Wait times can increase due to resources becoming available at a slower rate. During a delay, activation times depend on available components, employee resources, data center capacity, and how many other Shadow users are waiting that ordered before you. As all these variables change on a day-to-day basis, we do our best to project the most accurate time for activation wait time.Getting ready to use your Shadow Once your Shadow is ready for use, you’ll receive an email confirmation. In the meantime, you can sign in to your account page and download Shadow onto your devices before it’s ready for use. This way, you’ll be able to quickly set up your Shadow once it’s been activated. When’s my Billing Date?/How Long does my Subscription go for?F.A.Q.
You can find your subscription period in your Account Page: https://account.shadow.tech/. Shadow is a monthly recurring subscription so each payment will be due on the same day each month. Your subscription also won’t start until your Shadow has been activated so you won’t be losing any paid billing time. For example, if you purchased Shadow on April 21st, 2020, and your subscription wasn’t activated until May 2nd, 2020, your subscription will go from May 2nd until June 2nd and you won’t be charged until June 2nd. If you’re on a monthly subscription, you will also have the ability to cancel your subscription through your “Subscriptions & Billings” tab. Once you initiate the cancellation request, your subscription will be cancelled before your next invoice is set to be sent out. You will get to use Shadow for the paid amount of time. For example, if your subscription is for May 2nd to June 2nd and you cancel your subscription on May 21st, you will be able to use your Shadow
Storage is available for purchase through your account page under the “Subscriptions & Billings” tab starting April 23rd, 2020. However, once storage on the data center has run out, you’ll no longer be able to add additional storage to your account until more is allocated or someone gives up their additional storage. When additional storage becomes available, you will be able to add/remove increments of 256GB to your Shadow via your account page, up to a total of 2 TB of additional storage. Storage is charged per month. Once your order is confirmed, you must shut down Windows and reboot it in order to activate your additional storage on Shadow. You’ll find all additional storage on the D Drive on your Shadow. We highly recommend backing up your data on any extra storage you’ve purchased just in case you end up removing the storage.

Is it true Shadow mines crypto currency while not being used?
Hi all, I’ve heard ‘through the grapevine’ that Shadow servers mine crypto while users are offline. Is this true?If so, why wasn’t this advertised better when signing up? It is definitely something that would make me think twice of staying with Shadow.Is there an opt-out option maybe?Again, these are just rumours I’ve heard, so don’t bite my head off if it’s all untrue.
Getting Fed up !
After a year with no problems even through bankruptcy and all the scale back and changesI supported shadow and even committed to 1 yr to support the company!Yesterday received notice that they could not bill my account! Being very satisfied with the service and waiting 2 months for activation I do not want to lose the service I don’t want to lose it!I tried resetting the payment method did not work!Called my bank they said it was their end so I wrote as support tickedThe gave me some BS saying it was the issuing bank!Spent a hour with my bank to track down the problem and they said it was rejected by Shadow because the billing address did not match….this was not a problem before payment went through many time before!Tried to edit the billing address to match the debit card thier website did not allow me to do thisWrote another support ticked they sent me a link to update my payment!!The page did not allow me to change billing address or reset the debit card!! I have a couple Questions. Preferred Data Center, Activation times for Ohio, etc.
So, I ordered my Shadow Boost last week and I was told I’d receive it before March 1st, 2022. I’ve seen some other people say that this time isn’t correct in their state so I was wondering if that date is accurate for Ohio users (where I live). Now, I just mentioned I live in Ohio, but I live VERY VERY close (20-30 minutes or so) from West Virginia and Pennsylvania. I don’t know if it would benefit me to say I live in one of those states or just say that I live in Ohio. I am right on the edge and I don’t know if it will benefit me with connection/activation time if I were to chose another state. Thank you for your time for my somewhat long read.
Additional storage crowdfunding
Hello, Lately I've gotten more and more frustrated by the unavailability of the additional storage for Amsterdam. I have been very patient (been waiting for over a year, and never once have I seen additional storage available. I've asked support about this, but they say that I have to be patient. The problem is, that I can simply not play certain games like Ark: Survival Evolved, because it takes up more space then I have available. I understand that shadow cannot snap their fingers and create more additional storage, but I want to post a suggestion. If this is a monetary problem, I would be willing to pay a one time fee to expand the availability of the storage, to make sure that I at least can upgrade my shadow. I understand that one guy donating doesn't make a difference, but I would be willing to pay 50 euro's if I could have at least 250 gb of extra storage (and of course the 3 euros p/m that it costs for the extra storage). I'm quite sure a lot of other guys would also be willing
UK Activation Time
Hi all. I subscribed 3 hours ago (from the UK so I'm assuming this will be the Paris data centre). I don't have any lead time when I log into my account page on any of the tabs (it just says "waiting activation"). Does anyone know how long UK activations take on Saturdays or roughly how long I can expect to wait? I don't even know if activations happen on weekends etc. Thanks!
Where is my activation in under a hour?
Hello, I have noticed its been 4 days since I ordered my Shadow and it still says under 1 hour.Do anyone have a approximate of the time? I sat the data center at Georgia, USA because I bought it for a friend with VR.would that be the issue? also my discord is in my profile if needed.
