Well, I am writing this with absolutely zero hope for a solution to be found here but as I am apparently not allowed to discuss this on the Discord and support has been less than helpful. I am now trying a new avenue. A simple search here or on the Discord server can show you that people are being randomly banned for crypto mining who very well might not be. I know I for one was not, and any simple look at my Shadow would show that. Not really sure what else there is to say. I turned my Shadow off the night before, woke up the next day and napped at some point. Around 1 p.m. I received an e-mail saying that “forbidden activity was detected” followed by a ban about 30 minutes later saying that I was stopping Shadow from turning off. My Shadow was not turned on, nor did I ever do anything to stop that. Obviously I believe this to be an error and I see a lot of other people having the same issue. Despite that support sent me an accusatory response basically calling me a dirty crypto miner
I know it says “End of summer 2020”, but does this mean August? September? Could it be tomorrow? The boost upgrades seem to either have already been done or are within the next week-ish. So, should we be expecting to wait much longer for ultra/infinite? I ordered in October 2019
Hey there.I’m sure this is the N’th new thread about this topic, but I would really like a new update on activations (for me in Amsterdam). Weekly updates are still promised but the last update was 2 months ago. The activation date in my account has now passed and I would like my Shadow activated or a new estimate.Thanks!-Nick
Hello, I'm requesting a refund since I was only able to properly use the service for like 24h and then it started stuttering on it's video after 10 or 15 min of logging into shadow, I have checked everything and still stutters and freezes for no reason, I have also tried GeForceNow or Xbox Gamepass cloud service that requires the same amount of network capabilities and never had one issue so it is not an internet issue or my peripherals.
When I first setup my Shadow it was a 1080TI gpu now it is showing a Quadro 5000 I kinda feel like I was bait & switched. Why did this happen? Also will this be changed back as i am still being charged the 29.99 per month and not getting any of the 3 tiers of service offered my service is equivelant to the 12.99 tier?
i preorderd on the 23 of may and i have been told it would be the end of june, and then i got an email saying there has been a delay, but that was almost 3 weeks ago, and i have since not recieved any word. it is now the 11th of july and i am wondering when my shadow will be available to use, if there is some timeframe? i have been waiting very patiently and will continue to do so but some comunnication that this is not just me slipping through the cracks would be nice! ty!!
Hi all. I subscribed 3 hours ago (from the UK so I'm assuming this will be the Paris data centre). I don't have any lead time when I log into my account page on any of the tabs (it just says "waiting activation"). Does anyone know how long UK activations take on Saturdays or roughly how long I can expect to wait? I don't even know if activations happen on weekends etc. Thanks!
Hello,I've been a customer since 2018 and it's been over a year since I stopped using Shadow as my primary workstation.Basically, I continue to pay for a service that no longer meets my needs, because like many people, I have been waiting for the release of the next configurations for over a year.I paid Shadow Legacy + Storage at € 32.90 until November 2020, the Boost offer being unavailable and grayed out in my customer area.I posted in November 2020 to say I was having a little trouble, they offered to shift my Shadow Legacy payment date, no support info to tell me if I was eligible for a Boost offer.I sent a ticket in December 2020 to reduce my Infinite bill by subscribing:"If you want to have a subscription with commitment at € 39.99, I recommend that you choose the Boost plan with commitment at € 12.99 / month!"Did you get the idea? I told myself that it was a little victory before having the new configurations. Now I wake up and think they got me.10 months at € 32.90 instead of €
After a year with no problems even through bankruptcy and all the scale back and changesI supported shadow and even committed to 1 yr to support the company!Yesterday received notice that they could not bill my account! Being very satisfied with the service and waiting 2 months for activation I do not want to lose the service I don’t want to lose it!I tried resetting the payment method did not work!Called my bank they said it was their end so I wrote as support tickedThe gave me some BS saying it was the issuing bank!Spent a hour with my bank to track down the problem and they said it was rejected by Shadow because the billing address did not match….this was not a problem before payment went through many time before!Tried to edit the billing address to match the debit card thier website did not allow me to do thisWrote another support ticked they sent me a link to update my payment!!The page did not allow me to change billing address or reset the debit card!! Like I said love shadow
So I just paid for this service after seeing how quick and easy it is supposed to be. Decided to switch from GeforceNow after seeing it advertised and recommended by a friend. Now that I have paid for it, and it told me it would be ready in 3 hours. Now I see a lot of people are having the issue with this “delay” happening before they can access it. So now my 3 hours have passed and I am still waiting. This is false advertising in my opinion. You don’t advertise 3 hours everywhere, and then all of a sudden after the deadline has passed get to change my time frame to a longer one. I see your terms and conditions say that you are allowed to. But they do not say you have the right to after the deadline has passed. This is a shady practice I would say. Judging by the amount of post I see here about the exact same thing, you all do this a lot. If you do not have the capability to keep up with your markets demands then why advertise like you do just so they will buy what your selling? Needle
Just got my Shadow PC built yesterday. I noticed higher latency and I was surprised to find out that the Chicago Data Center is not up and running. I live in Michigan and it appears I have been moved to Dallas or New York. Just curious if anyone knows what is going on and what to expect in the future. The latency currently isn’t ideal but in the short term is fine, but I still would like to eventually have a Data Center closer to me.
So, I'm a bit confused here. Have pre ordered shadow in London. (Ordered 18 Jul. Says….Oct? delivery...wow) What's all this talk about data centres. When I joined the forum it made me choose a data centre...but there didn't seem to be one for the UK / London. Does this mean that my shadow when it's eventually delivered will run out of France or Amsterdam….isn't the latency going to suck coming from a different country?? What happened to a UK data centre?
Hello I need urgent help! My Subsciption pre-order that I placed waaaay back in 2019 has disappeared. I got an email late March stating COVID had impacted the activation and they were expecting it around early 2021 and offered boost services that would activate that month. Every few weeks I log in and check to see even Boost hasn’t activated.On logging in today I see BOTH subscriptions have disappeared without warning! I have submitted a ticket but I am furious beyond belief at the moment!
