I just had my referral code AND discount deactivated for unknowingly abusing a rule. Shared it in an oculus quest VR group, even people I play with and it was deactivated without warning regardless of the fact that 70% of my referrals are friends and family. So my advice is only share your code via private messaging to friends and family. I was frustrated by this because on the referral page it literally says "X NUMBER OF REFERRALS UNTIL FREE SHADOW!!" but nothing about rules of abuse.
So I just paid for this service after seeing how quick and easy it is supposed to be. Decided to switch from GeforceNow after seeing it advertised and recommended by a friend. Now that I have paid for it, and it told me it would be ready in 3 hours. Now I see a lot of people are having the issue with this “delay” happening before they can access it. So now my 3 hours have passed and I am still waiting. This is false advertising in my opinion. You don’t advertise 3 hours everywhere, and then all of a sudden after the deadline has passed get to change my time frame to a longer one. I see your terms and conditions say that you are allowed to. But they do not say you have the right to after the deadline has passed. This is a shady practice I would say. Judging by the amount of post I see here about the exact same thing, you all do this a lot. If you do not have the capability to keep up with your markets demands then why advertise like you do just so they will buy what your selling? Needle
So basically I just got the Shadow Boost in the California datacenter, and I was wondering how long it took other people to get their Shadow subscription activated. Because for some reason it says its going to be “ready” December 31, 2021. And I still think that is a little long to wait for it, because by that time I will have probably forgotten that I bought shadow...
So I signed up for the newsletter to be informed when Ultra and Infinite is available. Shortly after, I noticed on my account page I was able to upgrade to Ultra, said it would take 2 hours. Does that mean I can officially upgrade, and would it upgrade even though it Christmas day? Not a big deal if it doesn’t but I want to lay claim to a machine before anyone else gets it lol!
Signed up in May - was immediately billed - even though activation date was June - its June 13th and still no activation. I have put 4 tickets in thru the “customer service” portal with out a single response - what the hell is going on here
Hello I need urgent help! My Subsciption pre-order that I placed waaaay back in 2019 has disappeared. I got an email late March stating COVID had impacted the activation and they were expecting it around early 2021 and offered boost services that would activate that month. Every few weeks I log in and check to see even Boost hasn’t activated.On logging in today I see BOTH subscriptions have disappeared without warning! I have submitted a ticket but I am furious beyond belief at the moment!
Hello Shadow, as you know, there are not only Koreans looking to try the Korea DC.I am talking about Japan, Taiwan and other Asian countries that can use the Korea DC. I am in Japan and have a ping of >100 to California DC but <30 to Seoul. Thats why I would like to try the Korea DC. Every day I check if it’s possible to upgrade the storage on my Shadow subscription (AMS).. and after almost 1 year of “no can’t do”.. I am really disappointed on this side of the Shadow experience.Come on guys! It’s almost impossible to play any games without a reset of my Shadow vm.Also it takes allot of bandwidth in the datacenters, because we simple need to download everytime the whole game if we want to change a game to play.
I’m gonna start off by saying: This isn’t Shadow’s fault. At least, not entirely. It’s just a bit strange that I ordered my Shadow upgrade 23 months ago, and there’s been no news on it. I get it, there’s been shortages of parts and internal problems over the last couple years, but I just wish there was more transparency, I guess. The date keeps getting pushed back, but I’d honestly prefer a simple “To be confirmed” instead of seeing the date get pushed back to late 2021 (for example), then just seeing 2021 pass by with no sign of shadow in sight.
I have no idea what this team is even doing at this point. My order was mid-March, I am yet to wait for my Shadow to activate. Which is fine… I can wait. There is an order to which first-come-first-serve. Fine by me. BUT:: WHY ARE YOU FUCKING BOOKING MONEY FROM ME MONTH AFTER MONTH FOR NO SERVICE? I cant even tell at this point. The ultimate kicker is.. I am on Boost level, which is 14.99€. THEY BOOK 9.99€ FROM MY ACCOUNT EACH MONTH. I guess its what you can call “a tribute to progress”. I probably have to think of it like a Patreon Subscription to some Indi Startup. GUYS - GET. YOUR. SHIT. TOGETHER.
Hello guys, I want to cancel my monthly subscription for personal reasons as soon as possible in one of my 2 accounts affiliated with my same card, but in the subscription section within account I do not see the option of Cancellation of subscription as if I observed in my other account, maybe I'll be doing something wrong, I would appreciate your prompt response. The account in mention is the same as the forum.
This is terrible communication. Why would you send me an email saying I should expect an email when my shadow is ready to use- which should be any day now. I look on my account and you’ve updated my expected delivery date to now August 26… that's not any day now? that's any month now. You've now pissed me off because of your poor choice to lie to me and get my hopes up that ill receive the shadow soon. But then regress and say its still months out. I highly doubt I'm even going to get the shadow that the new date.
I hate to be the guy complaining about activation times, but I feel like the “Within 24 hours” preorder is misleading at best. I placed an order on the 19th. I’m now coming up on 48 hours after the order has been placed, and my Shadow Boost has still not been activated. I opened a ticket, and to Shadow’s credit, they were very fast to respond. I was informed that they had ‘passed the information on to their team and that my Shadow would be moving to activation shortly’. That was over 18 hours ago. I really have no problem waiting, but I would appreciate it if the activation time estimate was more accurate.
Hi been using shadow on and off for about 2 years now. I was recently banned from the service. I use the service for work and keep the shadow running 24/7 I did this since about December up until last week when my account was banned. It shows I was banned for not allowing the system update/ keeping it on and not shutting it off. I was wondering if I can get this fixed or unbanned cause I use the service for work.
