I ordered end of June still waiting for activation but the wait ain’t to bad tbh. You forget about it until you see a post or that online 😂
You clearly haven’t and here is why:
With the massive performance increase in GPU power with the release of the RTX 30 series, the actual value per money for ultra and infinite further dropped heavily.
You can basically buy a gaming pc for the same money as ~2,5 years of shadow subscription, but with way more power + even after 2,5 years, it is YOUR pc and you can sell it.
Taking into consideration how many upgrades we saw in the last years at Shadow, it isn’t worth it. Boost still has the same performance sitting at below a GTX 1080.
Even already an RTX 3070 has more power than the RTX 2080 TI AND the Quadro P6000 in the Infinite tier...and this GPU costs only 499€.
On top, you can’t rely on shadow delivering stable performance. Some games run great, others run like total trash and are unplayable.
This unreliable performance can definitely NOT be called “Desktop replacement” as it clearly is not.
I had several support incidents and even the support team said “Shadow will never run as smooth as a local played game”.
A game that runs beyond 100fps on shadow, doesn’t feel at all like 100 fps locally. In some games, it even feels like fps spikes around 20-30fps.

considering that the cheapest 30xx series just beat every tier in the sub hurts a lot
was worth it when those cg were 1k+$ but now..

also this, some game are just a no go (i dont play it but let’s say you wanna play the el famoso valorant you’re kinda fucked)
i have shadow since March of this year and i have to say it was worth it before but now not that much (or at least as much as it used to be before the new nvidia cards)
