So, i started using shadow well before the three new variations started, my year anniversary will be in august, what happens when that contract ends, does it just continue or will it move into one of the other three new variants?

Your current shadow is the equivalent to boost. changing to boost is only a billing change.

There were e-mails going around quite a while ago informing about the new setups and actually giving you the chance to already switch over to another of the three if you wanted.
Since you seem to have missed all of that, what you basically should do now is just change your subscription in the account control.
