My shadow stopped working today, as wel as on the ghost as windows client. Login screen loads but shadow freezes there, unable to move mouse or give my PIN?

Any ideas?

Kind regards, Karsten

Well thats easy,

  • Describe the bug (required)

    • Shadow freezes at windows login screen both on windows client and Ghost

    • We all now how the login screen looks

    • Quick menu button works on windows client, but FPS shows 0 and now input can be done with either mouse or keyboard.

  • Steps to reproduce the bug (required)

    • Provide explicit step-by-step actions to re-create the bug.

    • Example:

      • 1. Start Shadow

    • After these steps, does the bug occur 100% of the time? 100% each time.

  • Application/device, official or beta, and version number (required)

    • Not at home at this stage, so can’t see but problem looks to be at the shadow side, not client related.

  • Additional Context

    • Provide any additional information here

      • Same error occurs on multiple devices, also the ghost. Speedtest is normal 400/40mbps, I use a wired conncention.

      • The shadow worked fine on saturday, issue accured after windows update on closing that finished when starting up on monday.

I have the same error - i guess this a Windows Update Problem.

Well, as we can not enter the system and are prohibited to use safe mode in any way, that's not possible for us to do.

Hey guys!
Best would be entering the Help menu in your shadow launcher (the “?” in the upper right corner), then press “Send Logs”, note the code you get and the current time. Then head to your account page https://shdw.me/account, create a support ticket, describe your issue, eventually attach screenshot(s) and provide the code and time you noted.

It helps a lot determining where the issue is which leads to a quicker fix. Good luck.

The dev team is working hard on the subject.

But as in my case there isn't much of importance on the shadow, I've opted to do a hard reset today.

Hopefully this will fix the issue!

I'll keep you posted!
