Hello shadow team. It has happened already way to many times that keyboard shortcuts interfere with gaming if pressed by accident while a game is running. The most horrible and also the most common one it CMD + ALT + Q which will *ACTUALLY QUIT STREAMING*. This is almost never (perhaps actually never) what a user wants. Who would like to quit streaming “fast and easy”? The windows shut down menu works just fine. Also, notice that this is the only shortcut that uses the Q key, which is HEAVILY in use in most games. If you combine this with accidental key pressed or some games that have things like “self cast” which is ALT + something, this effect becomes catastrophic. It’s not even a menu popping up, it’s quitting stream. Mid-game. While self-casting. Please rethink these things. Making the keys configurable might be difficult, but at least an option to completely disable some or all shortcuts would be good enough for the near future. Thank you.

Starting today (July 27th, 2021), my mouse 4 and 5 buttons stopped working on my shadow. (These are the two thumb buttons on the left side of the mouse.) I have experienced no other issues and these buttons have been working fine for the last year.I am using the Linux Ubuntu App. I have replicated the same issue on two separate computers running Ubuntu 18.04. On both computers, I have tried two different mice on both the Official and Beta Shadow Apps. In all instances, the buttons continue to work fine on my local computers but are no longer recognized by my Shadow. I have tried the buttons in multiple Shadow programs with no success. The other mouse buttons still function (left click, right click, middle mouse click, middle mouse scroll).Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Issue/Describe the bugWIN + ALT + F not working and also the full screen button not working, when I enter my shadow it starts out in windowed and when I try to full screen it won’t work. I have to restart my application about 4 times or 3 if I’m lucky and it has a chance to full screen. When using an external USB mouse on iPad, scrolling works perfect until you diconnect the mouse for a short time and then reconnect it. Then you can only scroll horizontally, which is obviously a bug that has to be fixed. You have to restart Shadow to resolve the issue.
I used shadow on my Samsung Galaxy A32 5G phone, and that phone has a camera notch in the front of the screen, Shadow should account for this, by avoiding display on the edges, however it seems as though it fails to do this, It doesn’t hide the spots where the notch is by default, And it doesn’t look like it is an option anyways. You must go to the settings app and change the resolution to something else, than back to your phone resolution, than you have to enable and disable the “Fill screen” option.It causes many problems as some people may just instantly think the app is broken on their phone and may result in them giving the app a bad review. It would be nice if this could be fixed, it would make it easier for those who have phones with oddly shaped displays.
Issue/Describe the bugThe Apple service “VTDecoderXPCService” is using more and more memory when using Shadow for extended periods of time. I’m encountering this problem only on the shadow app so I thought it’s a good idea to submit a bug to you.Applications/Devices: Shadow App on a MacBook Pro 2021 (M1 - macOS 12.1). I’m using Wi-Fi most of the time.Versions:I’m using the universal app. Launcher v4.28.9. & Client : v3.14.6.Steps to Reproduce:Open Activity Monitor and check “VTDecoderXPCService” memory. Launch the Shadow and use it for a certain period of time. VTDecoderXPCService memory usage is growing up.Additional NotesDisabling (or enabling) Metal in the launcher does not have an effect. Restarting the stream every 1 or 2 hours is my workaround for now. Otherwise, the stream crashed or macOS ask the user to free RAM. Memory usage seems to increase much faster with a bad connection and a lot of packet loss. Unfortunately, I don’t have a rock-solid connection overall so I can’t
USB drivers on macOS MontereyFixed in Alpha
I updated to macOS Monterey (12.0.1) and when I launched the shadow client for the first time after that, I’ve been welcome by an error message saying that the USB drivers were broken and was given the choice to repair or uninstall them. The repair failed, so I uninstalled them but the reinstall fails too.
Hey, I just updated my Shadow Beta. When it started, my second monitor wasn’t used for Shadow - Shadow just worked on my first monitor. When I looked in the menu it said “Monitor recognized”, but when I said it should activate the second monitor it loaded for a short amount of time and after my second monitor was still not activated and in the menu was still the information “Monitor recognized”. Now I switched back to the stable version, there isn’t any issue, so I think the problem is in the new beta. With best regards,Alex

Mouse does not align properly. When using shadow in window mode, the mouse cursor does not select where it is showing. When I go to click on anything, I must move to the right many pixels over to be able to click on what I want. The distance between the item and cursor seems to expand the further right you go. The far left is not as bad and only off by a few, but at the far right of the screen it is impossible to select anything. Steps to reproduce the bug: 1. Start Shadow in window mode 2. Attempt to use mouse by selecting anything on screen 3. Issue/Describe the bugwhen controller turns itself off or i have to refresh shadow (changing from speed to reliability and back to speed(which causes controller to reconnect) because the shadow launcher occasionally due to bugs it has, for some reason stops sending the controllers signal into shadow forcing me to completely shut down shadow and restart it which is massively annoying.especially since the shadow launcher is detecing to fine and works locally just fine it just for some reason decides to stop sending the signal as a result game dont detect my controller even tho it still works for some things just not gamesthis is actually a step worse than the shadow bug (that still hasnt been fixed for maybe a year now, where i cant use my controller with no mans sky in shadow despite it working locally just fine with exact same settings on both local and in shadow(well not anymore since i dont have access anymore to my good local gaming rig so im stuck using shadow until i can someday a
the login screen was a blank whiteness, preventing me from logging in.specifically only the login page(s).Luckily clicking “forget this site” in firefox browser history fixed it.meaning I successfully logged in despite this issue, which is good.but would still be a good idea to look into this issue.
Describe the bug (required) Upon upgrade to iPad OS 15, the scrollwheel of the Logitech bluetooth mouse connected to the iPad (12.9” Pro) does not work. It had worked prior to iPad OS 15. It also works on the MacOS client. The Windows Shadow system does not register the scrollwheel scroll input however it does recognize the click as Mouse 3. The scrollwheel is established as working in the iPad OS itself. In addition, since this update, Mouse 4 does not register being held down, only a single click. The scrollwheel should be supported and it’s inputs registered in the default behaviors of the Windows system, and should react appropriately in-game (tested it in Guild Wars 2). The mouse buttons 4-5 should recognize being held down until released. Steps to reproduce the bug (required) I tried the same mouse on the MacOS system and it registered the clicks in the desktop environment. I restarted shadow, the mouse and the iPad OS. The bug occurs 100% of the time on iPad OS/iOS 15

Describe the bug xbox 360 microsoft receiver is not properly transferred from mac M1 to Shadow Steps to reproduce the bug (required) Install the driver Enable third party driver in launch utility (requires a restart holding the power button) Enable the driver (requires a restart) Plug the microsoft receiver and enable it on shadow Try to pair the controller: it fails Application/device, official or beta, and version number MacOS official launcher v4.27.5 | client v3.13.4 (would be cool to enable copy&paste from these numbers) Additional Context It works fine with an intel macintosh.
This bug is weird, because I can’t quite understand what is causing it or how it’s being caused. So basically, on ROBLOX there is an avatar editor built into the website where you can edit what your character looks like. About a month ago I noticed that moving from area to area within the avatar editor would cause pages to not load all the way, and then when you switched again nothing would load at all. This bug confused both me and ROBLOX support, and then today I realized the issue with the help of my dad. Shadow was the issue, for some reason, I don’t know why, but Shadow is causing the issue with ROBLOX’s website. The avatar editor works perfectly fine on my local PC, but for some odd reason that’s unexplainable to me, it doesn’t work on Shadow. Anyone got any ideas on why this could be?

I love your product and I am a massive fan of the direction that you are taking as a company. I do have a suggestion though:With the latest shadow app, it is asking me every time I connect to match my resolution with my macbook pro… which isnt a bad suggestion but it just looks clunky in windows 10 with the 200% scaling. Can we get an option to ignore the suggestion for future logins?ThanksTrav
Describe the bug (required) Upon pressing the media key “next” on my keyboard shadow will consistently skip media with little to no stop (such as YouTube Playlists, Spotify songs, etc)… I can confirm that this is NOT an issue with my actual keyboard as I tested using the key on several occasions on my host PC and did not encounter any issues… This bug has also been present since day one of me using Shadow, I just haven’t got around to reporting this bug until now. I am also not the only Shadow user that has this bug… This is most likely an issue with how Shadow handles input with this key. Apple 4k TV Mouse experienceResolved
So I have an apple 4k tv (newest gen) And when using shadow, im unable to have any sort of curser outside of the apple remote with the track pad. Ive tried Magic Mouse as well as another bluetooth mouse. Anyone know how to get a curser on the Apple TV as it is my main device(also have iPhone,ipad,m1 MBA) all of which the cursers work normally.
