USB drivers on macOS MontereyFixed in Alpha
I updated to macOS Monterey (12.0.1) and when I launched the shadow client for the first time after that, I’ve been welcome by an error message saying that the USB drivers were broken and was given the choice to repair or uninstall them. The repair failed, so I uninstalled them but the reinstall fails too.
Starting today (July 27th, 2021), my mouse 4 and 5 buttons stopped working on my shadow. (These are the two thumb buttons on the left side of the mouse.) I have experienced no other issues and these buttons have been working fine for the last year.I am using the Linux Ubuntu App. I have replicated the same issue on two separate computers running Ubuntu 18.04. On both computers, I have tried two different mice on both the Official and Beta Shadow Apps. In all instances, the buttons continue to work fine on my local computers but are no longer recognized by my Shadow. I have tried the buttons in multiple Shadow programs with no success. The other mouse buttons still function (left click, right click, middle mouse click, middle mouse scroll).Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ShadowPC freezes for no reasonUnder Review
My screen keeps freezing while using the ShadowPC around every 30 seconds. The audio still works and my input is still detected. What should happen is that the audio and video should be synced and the video should be working at the same frame rate that is displayed in the quick menu Start Shadow and enter any game. I run Shadow on my MacBook Air from 2017 which has been working well with it until just recently. I have a consistent 70 mbps download speed and 15 mbps upload speed on my local 5G network. Describe the bug (required) Upon upgrade to iPad OS 15, the scrollwheel of the Logitech bluetooth mouse connected to the iPad (12.9” Pro) does not work. It had worked prior to iPad OS 15. It also works on the MacOS client. The Windows Shadow system does not register the scrollwheel scroll input however it does recognize the click as Mouse 3. The scrollwheel is established as working in the iPad OS itself. In addition, since this update, Mouse 4 does not register being held down, only a single click. The scrollwheel should be supported and it’s inputs registered in the default behaviors of the Windows system, and should react appropriately in-game (tested it in Guild Wars 2). The mouse buttons 4-5 should recognize being held down until released. Steps to reproduce the bug (required) I tried the same mouse on the MacOS system and it registered the clicks in the desktop environment. I restarted shadow, the mouse and the iPad OS. The bug occurs 100% of the time on iPad OS/iOS 15
I have done some checking and there have been other conversations on this. But can shadow as a company please reconsider its automatic shutdown process. This is now bordering on useless i went away to get dinner and came back to being shut down. I left it doing a download… it shutdown.. i left it converting a video file.. gues what it shut down. Now that the price has been doubles surely that should buy us a better timeout. If you did this on an office system you would not be kept as a vendor so why should we put up with it.Yes we get that some people start sessions then just leave them, but to me that is what it is for, yes it may impact others but there should be allowances for that in your provisioning. If we sign in on a set day it should work for that day, with a reset that night to release it. Then again the next day and so on, a half hour or less timout in current times is just bad. [MAY BE RELATED TO] Introduction It has been around 2 weeks now that my Shadow App heat up my computer every time I use it at least a few minutes… It’s not just getting hot, it’s also making some heavy noises, it’s the first time that my computer seems to be working this hard in several years. When this happens, it’s getting hot and making some noise, but it also affects my entire computer. Everything seems slow. If I reduce the shadow app (not close) and switch to another (going on discord for example), it feels like my computer is struggling, and running at max 20fps. At first, I didn’t know why my computer was doing that. I noticed that a Windows Update was proposed around this date (I first thought that Microsoft was sabotaging me to force me to update Windows, but then I updated Windows and it did not change anything). Describe the bug (required) Upon pressing the media key “next” on my keyboard shadow will consistently skip media with little to no stop (such as YouTube Playlists, Spotify songs, etc)… I can confirm that this is NOT an issue with my actual keyboard as I tested using the key on several occasions on my host PC and did not encounter any issues… This bug has also been present since day one of me using Shadow, I just haven’t got around to reporting this bug until now. I am also not the only Shadow user that has this bug… This is most likely an issue with how Shadow handles input with this key. This is a feature that is already available in Microsoft Remote Desktop for iPad and it works very well.There are two modes for touch input, and you can switch between modes at any time: Mode 1: Use touch to click on anything on the screen, so for example in this scenario:Right click a file and delete it: Touch on the file with hold, once context menu shows up, touch on delete.Mode 2: Use touch to interact with mouse cursor which always shows in the screen. So in this scenario:Right click a file and delete it: Drag one finger across the screen to simulate mouse movement until the cursor reaches the file you need to delete, then press and depress instantly with two fingers (can be done anywhere in the screen as your touch won’t move the cursor away from the file). Issue/Describe the bugWhen plugging an USB device (Joystick / Gamepad) on USB3.0 ports (blue ones) of the Shadow box an error occurs on Windows indicating that the device is not recognized. Restarting the stream every 1 or 2 hours is my workaround for now. Otherwise, the stream crashed or macOS ask the user to free RAM. Apple 4k TV Mouse experienceResolved
So I have an apple 4k tv (newest gen) And when using shadow, im unable to have any sort of curser outside of the apple remote with the track pad. Ive tried Magic Mouse as well as another bluetooth mouse. Anyone know how to get a curser on the Apple TV as it is my main device(also have iPhone,ipad,m1 MBA) all of which the cursers work normally.

This can interfere with quite a large number of online games, often disconnecting you. This is especially disruptive during competitive games Steps to reproduce the bug (required) There aren’t steps. It just sometimes happens Application/device, official or beta, and version number (required) Should be windows official 1.7.9… That’s what the quick menu says. Additional Context Not much. Lagspikes aren’t too common but do happen, running at 25mb/s, usually stable. Internet speed is about 60 to 70 usually. Not much else
