Issue/Describe the bugThe Apple service “VTDecoderXPCService” is using more and more memory when using Shadow for extended periods of time. I’m encountering this problem only on the shadow app so I thought it’s a good idea to submit a bug to you.Applications/Devices: Shadow App on a MacBook Pro 2021 (M1 - macOS 12.1). I’m using Wi-Fi most of the time.Versions:I’m using the universal app. Launcher v4.28.9. & Client : v3.14.6.Steps to Reproduce:Open Activity Monitor and check “VTDecoderXPCService” memory. Launch the Shadow and use it for a certain period of time. VTDecoderXPCService memory usage is growing up.Additional NotesDisabling (or enabling) Metal in the launcher does not have an effect. Restarting the stream every 1 or 2 hours is my workaround for now. Otherwise, the stream crashed or macOS ask the user to free RAM. Apple 4k TV Mouse experienceResolved
So I have an apple 4k tv (newest gen) And when using shadow, im unable to have any sort of curser outside of the apple remote with the track pad. Ive tried Magic Mouse as well as another bluetooth mouse. Anyone know how to get a curser on the Apple TV as it is my main device(also have iPhone,ipad,m1 MBA) all of which the cursers work normally.
Starting today (July 27th, 2021), my mouse 4 and 5 buttons stopped working on my shadow. (These are the two thumb buttons on the left side of the mouse.) I have experienced no other issues and these buttons have been working fine for the last year.I am using the Linux Ubuntu App. I have replicated the same issue on two separate computers running Ubuntu 18.04. On both computers, I have tried two different mice on both the Official and Beta Shadow Apps. In all instances, the buttons continue to work fine on my local computers but are no longer recognized by my Shadow. I have tried the buttons in multiple Shadow programs with no success. The other mouse buttons still function (left click, right click, middle mouse click, middle mouse scroll).Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Describe the bug (required) Upon pressing the media key “next” on my keyboard shadow will consistently skip media with little to no stop (such as YouTube Playlists, Spotify songs, etc)… I can confirm that this is NOT an issue with my actual keyboard as I tested using the key on several occasions on my host PC and did not encounter any issues… This bug has also been present since day one of me using Shadow, I just haven’t got around to reporting this bug until now. I am also not the only Shadow user that has this bug… This is most likely an issue with how Shadow handles input with this key. Issue/Describe the bugAttempting to play Microsoft flight sim 2020 again on my Shadow but Shadows USB peripheral forwarding decided I wouldn't.To be clear I tested multiple app versions (beta and normal) but always respected the steps noted in the 'to reproduce' section below. Hi,Issue/Describe the bugWhen I run shadow on an external 4k monitor in android 10 desktop mode, the resolution selection is for the tablet internal screen, not the external monitor.Applications/Devices:Lenovo P11 Pro (TB-J706F, Snapdragon 730G), Android 10 5th Dec 2020 patchVersions:Shadow Android App v 3.3.2, Shadow Boost in Paris.Steps to Reproduce:Switch on ‘Force Desktop Mode’ in Developer options on Android Device and reboot (equivalent of using Samsung DEX?) Connect an external monitor with different resolution to tablet screen via usb-c DP mode adapter (e.g. a 4k TV via usb-c to HDMI 2 adapter) Check the monitor is extending the desktop not mirroring, and check resolution (yes and 4k in my case) Launch Shadow on the extended screen. Audio cuts out after lagspikeResolved
Describe the bug (required) Audio will randomly cut out after a large lagspike, requiring me to restart the stream. This can interfere with quite a large number of online games, often disconnecting you. This is especially disruptive during competitive games Steps to reproduce the bug (required) There aren’t steps. It just sometimes happens Application/device, official or beta, and version number (required) Should be windows official 1.7.9… That’s what the quick menu says. Additional Context Not much. Lagspikes aren’t too common but do happen, running at 25mb/s, usually stable. Internet speed is about 60 to 70 usually. Not much else
