I had my first experience in attempt to render a high resolution single image for a world map and was cut off. The image was being rendered in the Eevee engine and it said it was going to take about 38 minutes. I understand that if a user is idle that you turn them off to save resources. However I was actually using Shadow for the reason why I signed up for it in the first place. My original attitude of satisfaction of this service has vanished.

Requires user input or you could call it the away from keyboard timer is 30 minutes.
If you would have been in front of your computer you would have seen the overlay. It asks if you are still here as your shadow will shut down in two minutes.
ps: depending on how the pandemic goes the timer might go up again as the pre pandemic timer was 150 minutes.
pps: shadow is advertised as “game” service first. Any other activities are pretty much added benefits.
