After I got a warning about my data usage from T-Mobile my shadow app randomly stopped working on my pixel 2. It worked completely fine and I was able to stream No Mans Sky at Ultra detail with little to no lag. And I was exclusively using my unlimited cellular data no wifi. THE WORKAROUND:If you can connect to wifi and the app launches then it might be your provider blocking ya. So we need a simple VPN Proxy to stop this from happening. I downloaded Tomato VPN, it's free, no credit cards or purchases was needed for me to use it. It gives you an hour and a half of free VPN and you can add additional time by watching an ad. (Which if you do repeatedly you'll have hours upon hours of connection.) After downloading and running the app, you can choose were you want to be connected too. If I where you I would look at your shadow PC account and find out which location your shadow is located and match it to the VPN. (Ex. My shadow is in Chicago so my VPN is also set to Chicago) After do
If you set up virtual desktop with your quest 2 like I did and found your entire shadow PC missing it's sound here is how I fixed it in just 1 click Go to the VR desktop app and open it. Click on Audio Streaming and make it Headset & Computer Also unclick the "use virtual driver " box as well" This worked immediately for me
I have put up with the shortcomings as far as using it on the Chromebook. The keys not binding, my inability to use shortcuts, the slow mouse at times that requires me to readjust, the useless scroll button, and I can’t use touch properly. But now, since the latest update, it’s flickering at times, making Shadow a paying service that I can’t use properly on a Chromebook, the main reason I got the Chromebook. So, is there some way that this is going to get fixed?Bad enough that Chromebooks are hardly supported, even though there’s a big message about it in the updates.

I don’t need to explain Docker and its benefits, those at Shadow reading this already understand the value of Docker virtualization.I have had Shadow for over a year, and don’t have any major complaints. The recent price increase has put me in position to look at other options. I am at a cross roads where am considering replacing Shadow with a new high-end PC that can do Docker (and other things) that Shadow does not currently support. I got Shadow as a personal test drive to see if it would be a good alternative to buying a new high end gaming system. For over the past year, the answer has been yes. The answer has shifted to” “Questionable” because of the price increase.I understand that Shadow is geared toward gaming and is not intended for virtualization technology such as Docker. To justify the increase in monthly expense I would like to be able to do more than just gaming partly because I am spending money on other cloud services to get technology that Shadow currently does not su
Describe the bug (required) Upon upgrade to iPad OS 15, the scrollwheel of the Logitech bluetooth mouse connected to the iPad (12.9” Pro) does not work. It had worked prior to iPad OS 15. It also works on the MacOS client. The Windows Shadow system does not register the scrollwheel scroll input however it does recognize the click as Mouse 3. The scrollwheel is established as working in the iPad OS itself. In addition, since this update, Mouse 4 does not register being held down, only a single click. The scrollwheel should be supported and it’s inputs registered in the default behaviors of the Windows system, and should react appropriately in-game (tested it in Guild Wars 2). The mouse buttons 4-5 should recognize being held down until released. Steps to reproduce the bug (required) I tried the same mouse on the MacOS system and it registered the clicks in the desktop environment. I restarted shadow, the mouse and the iPad OS. The bug occurs 100% of the time on iPad OS/iOS 15
I have a usb combo keyboard/trackpad I can plug into my iphone, and while it works fine on the phone itself, when using the Shadow app on my phone the keyboard doesn’t seem to be recognized. The trackpad allows me to move the cursor around the shadow and such, but I can’t seem to do any typing. Is there something I can do to address this or is this an issue that would require an app update to resolve?
It was almost a year ago when Shadow announced that they would offer an operating system for the Raspberry Pi. What is the status of this project? If it is unlikely that the Pi OS will be released what are the chances of getting the OS for the Shadow Ghost publicly available?
Hi! Can any one tell me if it is possible to upgrade Xbox Wireless Controller firmware from within Shadow?Instructions for upgrading using a PC suggest connecting via USB then opening the Xbox Accessories app. However I am only seeing the ‘Connect a device’ message and my controller is not visible as an option in this app.Incidentally, I turned ON USB passthrough in the Shadow settings. But I don’t see the controller in the available peripherals to be forwarded to Shadow.I don’t have an Xbox and only have Apple OS devices, so I’m struggling a bit for an alternative update, other than finding someone to do it for me. Would be interested to hear of any ways I can do this.
I’m asking because I’m starting to get ideas that, we can’t use a vpn because it’s not working. It worked only one time after I disconnected. Basically it won’t work if we are not allowed to use it, I need it to download games. I just received a letter from Spectrum saying I was in trouble for downloading content. I only need to know if we can use a vpn? If not, I’mma just get a gaming laptop.
Running Shadow (Ubuntu) on ChromeOS. So far, so good. This is going to be an experiment that I will do on my spare time, but so far, this is my result.I managed to get the Shadow.AppImage after a few trials and error. The mouse is working properly (you have to lock it) and works slightly better than the Android App as it recognize the input from the mouse better than the Android app and it works at native speeds. Can’t seem to get the start button to work, but it is a first run. I’ll have more to say on this later.
Hello. I am curious to know if Shadow will work with Windows 11. (Windows 11 on my personal PC, not Shadow) I normally download the insider builds on my personal computer. But I want to know if I should stick with Windows 10 beforehand. Will Shadow have issues at all - USB peripheral / drivers installation, graphics and audio issues, xbox controller compatibility, or if Shadow freezes a lot, and more laggy-ness?? Any answers and criticism would be welcome. Thank you all.
I'm looking at testing shadow to see if it's going to be suitable for what I need. I'm either going to buy a sub £200 Chromebook or a refurbed windows 10 laptop Which do people think would be better My connection is more than up to the job according to what's written on the shadow website but I want to try it out before investing in a better rig
Hi! I am a brand new Shadow user. I am trying to use Davinci Resolve with Shadow. I noticed some keyboard shortcuts didn’t work in Davinci Resolve. Mostly the ones with CTRL, like CNTL+Z to undo. How do I resolve this? Some of my track pad gestures didn't work too. Like pressing down with one finger + swipe with another finger to scroll. I’m running Shadow from macOS. Any info to get this working would be much appreciated. TIA
Hi I’m having a lot of issues when using Nvidia shield while trying to play games.games will either give a lot of stutters/ lag or the video stream will completely crash, I can hear the game still running with the audio still working somehow.Using the shadow pc app I have no problems at all and is completely smooth so have ruled out any connection issues my end. my setup is Nvidia shield pro (2019) with shield controllerUsing Latest version of shadow appwired Ethernet with 1000/100 fibre connection - around 15-20 ms ping to shadow
