Yes, you can play Shadow on many, many, many devices. Yes, it is amazing. Will it work on your car’s screen? Who knows! Well… us and the rest of the #TeamShadow might know! In order to help each other out, please tell us in the comment section below which device you successfully used Shadow on! And to answer your question: we do have specific hardware and software requirements to make Shadow work that should tell you if it will work on your device: Device Requirements for Shadow And if you’re feeling generous, we’d love to see you come by the Shadow Setups topic to share pictures of your device experimentations. 🙃
Hi everyone, I know that Windows 11 isn’t officially supported by Shadow yet but I installed it months ago and my Shadow seems to be working just fine since then, in fact I’d say that most of the time it’s been working better than with Windows 10.Any thoughts?
This idea mainly comes from the newly added second screen support. I mostly use Shadow on my iPad Pro w/keyboard, and have my iPhone docked vertically on the desk next to me. I’d love to be able to move a social media window (like Twitter or Reddit) over to it. My iPhone 12 mini is a bit too small to read anything in landscape mode. Same goes for the iPad. When I don’t have it in my Magic Keyboard case, I’d like to be able to rotate it and have Windows automatically adjust. I don’t expect full tablet support (I’m sure that would have been done already if it were possible), but would be nice to have.
From reading some posts, not all Shadow clients are created equal?Do any of them support 4k, HDR and surround sound? If so, for that client, what silent device would be capable of handling the 4k video stream without issue and also output HDR? And has support for wireless gaming keyboard and mouse?I have an Apple TV 4k, but don’t think I can use a keyboard and mouse with it?If building my own PC, does anyone know what kind of system offers a silent GPU with 4k HDR support? And would I have to look for something special to have surround out, or will that be on every motherboard?Alternatively, if the Mac client is good, what is an Apple Mac Mini capable of in terms of output? Finally, is anything in HDMI 2.1 spec relevant to Shadow, or is it just a simple constant frame rate (60Hz?) video stream that HDMI 2.0a devices can handle?
I just subscribed to Shadow PC and I am loving it so far. The connection quality is great and finally I can use my iPad Pro like „It’s a PC“ 😀 I know that via RDP its possible to also use the iPad‘s camera for Zoom and Microsoft Teams - would it be possible to also include this feature in Shadow PC? Then it would become my one and only machine, both for gaming and productivity tasks
After I got a warning about my data usage from T-Mobile my shadow app randomly stopped working on my pixel 2. It worked completely fine and I was able to stream No Mans Sky at Ultra detail with little to no lag. And I was exclusively using my unlimited cellular data no wifi. THE WORKAROUND:If you can connect to wifi and the app launches then it might be your provider blocking ya. So we need a simple VPN Proxy to stop this from happening. I downloaded Tomato VPN, it's free, no credit cards or purchases was needed for me to use it. It gives you an hour and a half of free VPN and you can add additional time by watching an ad. (Which if you do repeatedly you'll have hours upon hours of connection.) After downloading and running the app, you can choose were you want to be connected too. If I where you I would look at your shadow PC account and find out which location your shadow is located and match it to the VPN. (Ex. My shadow is in Chicago so my VPN is also set to Chicago) After do
If you set up virtual desktop with your quest 2 like I did and found your entire shadow PC missing it's sound here is how I fixed it in just 1 click Go to the VR desktop app and open it. Click on Audio Streaming and make it Headset & Computer Also unclick the "use virtual driver " box as well" This worked immediately for me
Describe the bug (required) Upon upgrade to iPad OS 15, the scrollwheel of the Logitech bluetooth mouse connected to the iPad (12.9” Pro) does not work. It had worked prior to iPad OS 15. It also works on the MacOS client. The Windows Shadow system does not register the scrollwheel scroll input however it does recognize the click as Mouse 3. The scrollwheel is established as working in the iPad OS itself. In addition, since this update, Mouse 4 does not register being held down, only a single click. The scrollwheel should be supported and it’s inputs registered in the default behaviors of the Windows system, and should react appropriately in-game (tested it in Guild Wars 2). The mouse buttons 4-5 should recognize being held down until released. Steps to reproduce the bug (required) I tried the same mouse on the MacOS system and it registered the clicks in the desktop environment. I restarted shadow, the mouse and the iPad OS. The bug occurs 100% of the time on iPad OS/iOS 15
I don’t need to explain Docker and its benefits, those at Shadow reading this already understand the value of Docker virtualization.I have had Shadow for over a year, and don’t have any major complaints. The recent price increase has put me in position to look at other options. I am at a cross roads where am considering replacing Shadow with a new high-end PC that can do Docker (and other things) that Shadow does not currently support. I got Shadow as a personal test drive to see if it would be a good alternative to buying a new high end gaming system. For over the past year, the answer has been yes. The answer has shifted to” “Questionable” because of the price increase.I understand that Shadow is geared toward gaming and is not intended for virtualization technology such as Docker. To justify the increase in monthly expense I would like to be able to do more than just gaming partly because I am spending money on other cloud services to get technology that Shadow currently does not su
Hi all,I have just purchased shadow and am waiting to get access. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any steps to running shadow on my Mac. When purchasing it didn’t give me had an option for macOS only window 10. Can anyone share any information on how to set it up on Mac?thanks! dukes
I have a usb combo keyboard/trackpad I can plug into my iphone, and while it works fine on the phone itself, when using the Shadow app on my phone the keyboard doesn’t seem to be recognized. The trackpad allows me to move the cursor around the shadow and such, but I can’t seem to do any typing. Is there something I can do to address this or is this an issue that would require an app update to resolve?
