This undertaking of the Shadow launch has rocked me today upon learning about it just minutes ago. I have immediately pre-ordered and am glad to be apart of what will bring computing to the masses like never before. I am ready to walk into the future with Shadow like Peter Pan. Congratulations to the developers and entrepreneurs that have finally put the plans in place to help utilize current technologies to help advance our society faster. With the rapid advancements we are seeing in the cyber world, I am interested in knowing if you have coordinated with the DOD on helping protect our National Security as requested in the new report released just awhile ago from US Cyber Command’s Solarium Commission. If not, here is the link to the report for your review. Thank you and rock on! External Link Removed
I don’t need to explain Docker and its benefits, those at Shadow reading this already understand the value of Docker virtualization.I have had Shadow for over a year, and don’t have any major complaints. The recent price increase has put me in position to look at other options. I am at a cross roads where am considering replacing Shadow with a new high-end PC that can do Docker (and other things) that Shadow does not currently support. I got Shadow as a personal test drive to see if it would be a good alternative to buying a new high end gaming system. For over the past year, the answer has been yes. The answer has shifted to” “Questionable” because of the price increase.I understand that Shadow is geared toward gaming and is not intended for virtualization technology such as Docker. To justify the increase in monthly expense I would like to be able to do more than just gaming partly because I am spending money on other cloud services to get technology that Shadow currently does not su
I have cox gigablast. I hit at least 350MBps on WiFi and I hit around 600+ on eathernet. Running on an HP Envy with windows 10. I have no issues playing games like cyberpunk 2077 through steam, but I have issues with other platforms. I recently got ubisoft+ and when trying games like watchdogs legion or farcry 5 I have video stutter. It makes it unplayable. I've dropped my bandwidth allocation to 15-20MBps through shadow and that helps some what. Though that makes my experience terrible with a blury image. I've tried any settings I could find, including dropping the graphic quality in these games and it doesn't seem to help. I feel running CP2077 on med-high graphics and it working should show it could handle FarCry 5 no problem on low settings. If any one has any idea what I'm doing wrong it would be greatly appreciated.
So I've been playing on my Oculus Quest headset using Virtual Desktop with Shadow. I have a cheap old laptop and I normally play alot of VRchat PC mode. What hardware should I look into for trying body tracking with Shadow VR? Is this doable? Anyone with any backdoor tricks or crazy ways to get full body tracking with shadow VR?
I probably along with dozens of shadow users would love to use our sim racing setups because shadow can run all the racing games we can want, I would love to use my Thrustmaster TMX for my steam games because my laptop (Acer Nitro 5) isn't as powerful as shadow. The service is great other than the wheel support, I’d love to see what shadow team can do for us in the future
I have put up with the shortcomings as far as using it on the Chromebook. The keys not binding, my inability to use shortcuts, the slow mouse at times that requires me to readjust, the useless scroll button, and I can’t use touch properly. But now, since the latest update, it’s flickering at times, making Shadow a paying service that I can’t use properly on a Chromebook, the main reason I got the Chromebook. So, is there some way that this is going to get fixed?Bad enough that Chromebooks are hardly supported, even though there’s a big message about it in the updates.
Hi guys recently I bought a professional mic and an audio interface Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen and after installing the device software shadow does not recognise the focusrite sound driver, does anyone had this issue before? Please guys let me know, happy holidays, Miky
Hi all! I was wondering if usb connections were being worked on for the iPad version of Shadow. Since the TestFlight version has full keyboard support, maybe usb connections is next along with mouse support? That would be huge. Although I understand if it’s really hard to program it. What do you guys think?
Hi Guys, Maybe i want to buy the new chromecast with Google TV. Do you guys have any experience how well the Shadow Android TV app is working on this device?I am planning to use it with the Xbox One Wireless controller. Its a fairly new device and i am hoping somebody tested it and can give me some feedback :) Its maybe a good alternative from the Shadow Ghost, is cheap and the availability is better than he shadow Ghost (havent seen the Ghost in stock for a long time in the EU sadly).
I too have a Tizen Samsung smart 4k UHD TV and I mean it's not hard for me to plug in my laptop and just boot shadow and still use my TV specs by putting it in game mode at 60 refresh rate at 1920 1080p fluidly but in the terms of having a " smart " TV, it's app developer community is not popular, tho pretty powerful one, amount of apps for it is pitiful and that compatibility I know is there because there's many apps on the app store just seems that nobody's even tried to develop one that actually does anything remotely. other than watch and or """stream"""" Netflix, Amazon, Disney blah blah. No games, so that being said I think it would be pretty revolutionary for tizen OS to have a shadow OS, which would completely make my huge pretty dumb smart TV a smart gaming pctv all in one without the necessity of my laptop through HDMI
I have a mouse with 2 side programmable buttons but when i use them on shadow they do the same actions as the right click and left click do. E.g. if im on Minecraft and i have the side buttons for like a assigned hotbar number or sprint key it completely ignores that and just left/right clicks instead
Shadow is indeed worth buying. From my 1 year experience I've only had one issue. But when I contacted them, they replied within an hour or two and fixed it. I use it to stream, edit videos, and play video games. I have never got an fps drop nor lagging issues. So is it worth buying? Yes.
