I’ve been loving my Shadow PC over the last few months. I’m also really excited about the continued updates for iPad compatibility that have allowed use of the smart keyboard and a bluetooth mouse. However, it’s not always convenient to use a mouse. I’ve been playing Total War: WARHAMMER II which makes use of “mouse-over” and “right click + drag” actions. I’ve tried messing with a few different things, but I can’t seem to get these actions to work. I’ve had milliseconds of hope where I will see what one would expect, but then it goes away without producing the desired result. Ultimately, this isn’t a huge deal but, it would be amazing to be able to play a game like this from my iPad while relaxing on the couch or in bed (somewhere that isn’t conducive to using a mouse). I’ve searched the forums, reddit, etc but, so far I haven’t been able to find any advice or instructions that pertain to my specific situation. Wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar and if there are
Any plans to support connecting to Shadow with a browser (e.g., Chrome)? The desktop client works fine, but one thing I really like about Stadia is the ability to jump into a game easily if I’m on a different machine without having to download anything. I realize things like peripheral support may not be possible in a pure browser scenario, but in my opinion that’s a worthwhile tradeoff.
Thinking about getting a Surface Pro x so would like to know if anyone has had any problems running the 32bit version of Shadow on an Arm based PC ? There are a few out there now so I would think someone has tried it. I use my shadow to do the heavy lifting my 4 year old base Surface Book cant handle and would like to continue to do the same with a lighter always on PC with a decent screen so the pro x looks like a good bet if shadow works.
I currently use Manjaro Linux as my desktop OS which is Arch based, not Debian based. I see there is a Ubuntu launcher app available but .deb files are not native to Arch. I found a Shadow launcher on the Arch AUR, however, when it launches it gets to “3. Starting Streaming” and then endlessly loops with the “We’re almost there” screen. Anyone successfully get this to work with Manjaro and if so, how?
Hi, I’ve got the app on my Formuler Z8 tv box which runs on Android 7.0 but when I go to load desktop it eventually gives me the Error code R:300 which is to do with the graphics card but it’s android 7.0 so a little confused. It’s not classed as android tv tho just android 7.0. Has anyone had any experience with the Z8 box and Shadow? Thanks in advance
Hey everyone, I I’m using Shadow on my Nvidia Shield (so basically on Android TV), and have noticed the following issues, where I was wondering if anyone else also experiences them: I seem to have log into my account every time I use the app (few times per week). This is a bit annoying as it “requires” me to connect a Bluetooth-keyboard to comfortably enter my password. when selecting the Shutdown and Quit Shadow Option nothing really happens. Neither do I get any feedback whether my Shadow has successfully shut down, nor does the Shadow app Exit. Feedback of any kind would increase the user experience here :) Have a nice evening!
I recently bought an Xbox elite series 2 hoping to play on shadow with it but when I opened shadow it did not connect. Is there anything I can do to play games with it on my shadow? If not when is the earliest we will be able to use an elite on shadow?
When I boot up Shadow on my iPad, I generally have to make my iPad forget my DS4, re-pair, then boot Shadow and it works famously with Warzone and other games. But when I play DayZ on the same session, suddenly the controller doesn’t register anymore. Should I assume that it is game related rather than shadow related? The controller shows in steam, but it doesn’t do anything to the windowed game right above it.
I have a technical support topic about this, but I am starting to think there is some incompatibilty here. I cannot get a new Wireless Xbox Controller (1708) to work in Fortnite on Shadow. It does not work when starting Fortnite on Shadow on my Macbook and also not on my Android phone, same results. The controller does work properly when I use the native mobile Fortnite app on my phone, so there is nothing wrong with the controller. The controller also does work on Shadow in Windows, like in the Xbox App and Steam Big Picture Mode, but is irresponsive in Fortnite. It is displayed correctly in the Shadow Quick Menu as Xbox One Controller (1708) (Bluetooth). Is Fortnite incompatible with the a (Xbox) controller on Shadow? Does Fortnite its EasyAntiCheat system block the emulated controller input? DId anyone here succeed in playing Fortnite on a controller on Shadow?
So I see that the iOS keyboard and mouse functionality is now showing on the public trello roadmap. Realistically, when should we expect to see the first version available in test flight? There are a lot of us eagerly awaiting this and want to be able to provide feedback and testing as early in the process as possible.
I had my first experience in attempt to render a high resolution single image for a world map and was cut off. The image was being rendered in the Eevee engine and it said it was going to take about 38 minutes. I understand that if a user is idle that you turn them off to save resources. However I was actually using Shadow for the reason why I signed up for it in the first place. My original attitude of satisfaction of this service has vanished.
