Programmable buttons on Samsung Dex?
I have a mouse with 2 side programmable buttons but when i use them on shadow they do the same actions as the right click and left click do. E.g. if im on Minecraft and i have the side buttons for like a assigned hotbar number or sprint key it completely ignores that and just left/right clicks instead
Logitech G Hub
Hey everyone, I just got my Shadow activated yesterday and I’m loving it. My one issue is that Logitech G Hub doesn’t seem to recognize shadow when it’s running. I’m on MacOS and I often have my side buttons on my G305 to switch between spaces and my middle mouse button to mission control but G Hub turns it off automatically when I have specific programs running. The problem is that even after adding Shadow to G Hub it doesn’t seem to recognize that it is open and doesn’t de-activate the custom side and middle mouse buttons. Is there a fix to this at all?
ShadowPC OBS StreamLabs
I’m using the Mac OSX Shadow client to stream my ShadowPC. I’m using Stream Labs however can’t find the option to hide my cursor with window capture for browser streaming, is there a way around this? I tried using CMD Option M to display the normal cursor however that didn’t work either. Also I tried going into the Windows 7 old option where hide cursor is enabled but can’t with the newer hardware which is on the ShadowPC. Regards
Doom Eternal on Shadow Boost asking to upgrade Quadro Drivers
Hi All, Started playing Doom Eternal on my Shadow Boost and loving it! But recently when launching it comes up with a window asking me to upgrade my Nvidia Quadro drivers up too the most up to date ones. Says I have an older version installed. I thought Shadow kept the drivers up to date normally (Yes I have that option checked to auto update Windows and Graphics Drivers) So wondering, should I update them manually? Doom Eternal runs without issues other than the box asking to either upgrade or run anyway.
Shadow iPadOS USB Connections
Hi all! I was wondering if usb connections were being worked on for the iPad version of Shadow. Since the TestFlight version has full keyboard support, maybe usb connections is next along with mouse support? That would be huge. Although I understand if it’s really hard to program it. What do you guys think?
Streaming - A Brave New World
Hello all, Just wondering if and how far people have gone with streaming using Shadow as their base? I’ve been playing with the idea of using Shadow as my platform for streaming D&D sessions - Using a display dice system via Discord, using Webcam captures etc to offer a visual element so that those tuning in can see myself and the players. I’m just wondering if anyone else has used Shadow for similar things and what success they’ve had? Biggest issue I’ve found so far is using peripherals over IP - Logitech C920 HD Pro webcam just goes green and jitters even though I’m using a 108MBps connection. Understandably it isn’t a foolproof way of routing but you all get the idea! Anyway, any ideas, suggestions or effective ways of doing this would be greatly appreciated or just a chat about your streaming ventures with Shadow! Have a good one all!
What kind of machine are you Shadow-running?
What obscure machines have you run Shadow on? It blew my mind to be playing WoW on my smartphone! Our closet is a computer antique museum, and i am excited about trying to get them all to run my Shadow machine. Dual-core Dells, HP laptops still running WinMe, old raspberry pi3’s, a pxe gmac or w/e, the list goes on. My only challenge so far is this mountain internet with 3Mbps...
Is shadow worth buying?
Shadow is indeed worth buying. From my 1 year experience I've only had one issue. But when I contacted them, they replied within an hour or two and fixed it. I use it to stream, edit videos, and play video games. I have never got an fps drop nor lagging issues. So is it worth buying? Yes.
