Hi there,
Will the shadow mac app be optimized to run on ARM based Mac (natively)?
And if so, any ETA?
many thanks, best regards,
Tom

So far Shadow runs seamlessly on my new M1 MacBook Air, but I can’t use USB peripherals. I’m hoping for an update too.
Following as I am interested in this too. :-)
Same here. Can we get any Information from Devs ?

I’m also interested. I *just* updated before the new M1 Macs were released to a 13”MBP 2Ghz Quad-core i5 with 16gb model. I like to game on a windows bootcamp and have been investigating everything from a EGPU to even buying a modest gaming PC instead when I discovered Shadow. I’m currently waiting for my activation but am EXTREMELY excited based on the reviews I’ve read and watched on YouTube. (big names like Linus Tech Tips!)
Anyway, super excited to try the service, and also excited to see if it’ll work on ARM based Macs.
Also hoping Shadow will have a native Apple Silicon app.

Thanks for the info. Do you mean it will only play using the MacBook track pad and keys, and not with a USB keyboard and mouse?
I don’t know how to answer that, because I have no keyboard or mouse. But I think that a mouse or a keyboard don’t need USB Peripherals to work.
Same here. My Old PC gave up this week and I’m tempted by the new M1 Mini Mac as a thin client.
Has anyone run shadow on an M1 device yet? Surely someone at Shadow would have wanted to check? Is Rosetta 2 good enough to code the existing app without lag?

To be honest, I do not expect any ETA for this. Just saying from made experience. And I think since they failed so hard with ultra and infinite announcements, they decided better keep quiet instead into make any statement about M1 compatibility.
Does it even run with Rosetta 2-Layer? I think USB support on Big Sur should be more prioritized. ;)

Hey, perfect, thanks for the update. :) I actually have never been able to use USB via Shadow. But i do use “virtual here”. It if free if you only forward one device, works perfect for me! :)
In my older MacBook I could use my joystick just using the usb peripherals, so i really hope they update this, but I’ll try your solution
