Hello,
I plan to buy the Samsung C49RG90, and would like to know if Shadow support the native resolution 5120x1440@60hz ?
Thanks.

View originalI am running Shadow with a Odyessy G9 (5120 x 1440) and can comfirm it does work, although it wants the default res to be 3840 x 1080@120Hz).
You enable 5120 x 1440@60Hz by enabling H.265 in the Shadow menu.
I do get some pulsing in the image though.
I get the same “pulsing” on higher resolutions as well. Have you found the cause/resolution?
These estimated calculations might help:

Hey
try limiting the FPS to 60 in your shadow launcher-settings and in the game you are playing. Make sure it is set to the correct solution and Hz (60) in your nvidia control panel on shadow.
Thanks
Hey
Pushing 4k 60 for most intigrated graphics is possible as native decode of h264 is supported by the intigrated intel or amd gpu. But as their is no buffer in the stream and you will experience dropped frames or as you put it earlier the “pulsing” issue when at higher resolution. You can allways scale down your resolution to alleviate strain on the igpu or when funding permits grab a gpu for your system. If you have a laptop with thunderbolt then your options would be a gpu enclosure with thunderbolt interface. -Gelgoog

I also use Shadow with a resolution of 5120x1440, but the resolution does not work for me. Even with H265, increasing the bandwidth to max and fixing the frame rate to 60.
With a reduced resulution to 3840x1440 there is no problem.
How can i fix this?
A resolution of 5120x1440 has less pixel as a full 4K resolution (3840 x 2160)

Hi, I fixed the pulsing by disabling the quick menu in the interface options on the shadow (beta) client.
