Valorant and Shadow Compatability

I see everyone on here stating that Riot Games is responsible for the decision to make Valorant work on Shadow. Isn’t this a bad stigma? What’s stopping from “just” giving us access to a machine that just has vanguard installed? Correct me if i’m wrong.

Shadow is a virtualized platform. Your shadow is essentially a high performance virtual machine. To get vanguard to run at the correct kernel level it would take extensive detailed emulation to trick vanguard into running on a VM, and even then, as soon as Riot noticed, they’d patch it and it would be yet another rework to try to make it functional again. Valorant isn’t running on GFN, Shadow, Unraid, or any other platform that uses virtualization unless Riot loosens their lasso.
