Hey mates! Currently I’m using app store market from the country where this app is not presented for mobile devices. Is it any chance to download mobile app not from Apple app store? (TestFlight or something similar).Changing the region in app store isn’t an option for me since I already have some paid subscriptions. Thanks in advance!
I want to know if it is possible to connect Oculus Quest to a computer running Shadow client. I know that there is a VR app for Oculus Quest but I’d like to use it with ethernet and since the OTG ethernet feature was removed from headset the only way I can think of is connecting to PC which has an ethernet connection.
Hi, so i got this old computer Click here for specification and i run it with an old Gpu (Nvidia 9800 GT). Ive been playing some games on it with Shadow, mostly Borderland and nowlots of Tiny Tina Wonderlands, but i notice that i lag alot, my internet is stable 1000/1000, so im all aware its about my crappy hardware. Do you guys have any idea what i might replace in this PC in order for it to perform better in shadow? like an ssd? give me ideas, i wont buy another computer, i just want this one to perform better than it does. Having a hard time telling what components that are compatible and so on. If you were stuck with this PC, what would u start with to change in order to perform better in Shadow? i dont wanna buy a new motherboard with cpu and stuff. So whats your thoughts?
Hey Shadow Fam! Wondering if anyone has pre-ordered the Steam Deck and how they plan to use their Shadow on it. Also will Shadow have an explicit partnership to ensure quality experience on the Steam Deck? VERY curious to hear thoughts from the Shadow Team and Community! CHeers!
Hi!This is more à feature request than a bug report.First of all: Shadow is working great on Chromecast with Google TV, so thank you for that! The only frustrating thing is that I was not able to switch to headphones thru my game controller…Indeed, Chromecast does not seem to redirect the audio to that jack audio out port, when I plug headphones into it. Except in the Stadia app, of course ;-)As the Shadow client seems to recognize the type of game controller, would it be possible to switch Windows audio output to the headphones port of the controller?
Hi Shadow Community! I can’t get Wolfenstein 2 (Steam) to launch… It runs through the titles but then get stuck on a black screen with the audio playing. It’s probably a problem with the game, was really poorly optimised on my old gaming machine but just wondered if anyone has had any luck getting it to work?
So you’re trying to connect your controller to your Shadow but can’t seem to figure out how? Here are some links to popular controllers we support, and how to connect them. How to connect a controller (Xbox, PS4, Nintendo and other controllers) We also have another post here that you might like! There are a ton of devices that can be supported by Shadow. For example, here are a few uncommon accessories that the community tested out and that worked: 8Bitdo SF30 Pro Controller, HOTAS, Thrustmaster T150, and even the iPega 9023 Gamepad! You can help others by posting about your favorite accessories or asking questions! Be sure to check out our ‘How to post’ topic in our “Getting Started” category.
Yes, you can play Shadow on many, many, many devices. Yes, it is amazing. Will it work on your car’s screen? Who knows! Well… us and the rest of the #TeamShadow might know! In order to help each other out, please tell us in the comment section below which device you successfully used Shadow on! And to answer your question: we do have specific hardware and software requirements to make Shadow work that should tell you if it will work on your device: Device Requirements for Shadow And if you’re feeling generous, we’d love to see you come by the Shadow Setups topic to share pictures of your device experimentations. 🙃
Hi everyone, I know that Windows 11 isn’t officially supported by Shadow yet but I installed it months ago and my Shadow seems to be working just fine since then, in fact I’d say that most of the time it’s been working better than with Windows 10.Any thoughts?
This idea mainly comes from the newly added second screen support. I mostly use Shadow on my iPad Pro w/keyboard, and have my iPhone docked vertically on the desk next to me. I’d love to be able to move a social media window (like Twitter or Reddit) over to it. My iPhone 12 mini is a bit too small to read anything in landscape mode. Same goes for the iPad. When I don’t have it in my Magic Keyboard case, I’d like to be able to rotate it and have Windows automatically adjust. I don’t expect full tablet support (I’m sure that would have been done already if it were possible), but would be nice to have.
I have put up with the shortcomings as far as using it on the Chromebook. The keys not binding, my inability to use shortcuts, the slow mouse at times that requires me to readjust, the useless scroll button, and I can’t use touch properly. But now, since the latest update, it’s flickering at times, making Shadow a paying service that I can’t use properly on a Chromebook, the main reason I got the Chromebook. So, is there some way that this is going to get fixed?Bad enough that Chromebooks are hardly supported, even though there’s a big message about it in the updates.
From reading some posts, not all Shadow clients are created equal?Do any of them support 4k, HDR and surround sound? If so, for that client, what silent device would be capable of handling the 4k video stream without issue and also output HDR? And has support for wireless gaming keyboard and mouse?I have an Apple TV 4k, but don’t think I can use a keyboard and mouse with it?If building my own PC, does anyone know what kind of system offers a silent GPU with 4k HDR support? And would I have to look for something special to have surround out, or will that be on every motherboard?Alternatively, if the Mac client is good, what is an Apple Mac Mini capable of in terms of output? Finally, is anything in HDMI 2.1 spec relevant to Shadow, or is it just a simple constant frame rate (60Hz?) video stream that HDMI 2.0a devices can handle?
I just subscribed to Shadow PC and I am loving it so far. The connection quality is great and finally I can use my iPad Pro like „It’s a PC“ 😀 I know that via RDP its possible to also use the iPad‘s camera for Zoom and Microsoft Teams - would it be possible to also include this feature in Shadow PC? Then it would become my one and only machine, both for gaming and productivity tasks
