I have a few questions regarding USB mass storage compatibility and specifications:How do network conditions affect the transport of data? Are there any restrictions on data throughput? What precautions are in place to ensure reliability? (Read/write caching, redundant data transport, etc.)Thanks in advance! :3
Hi!Right now I'm looking for an affordable android tv box for using shadow.Does anyone have a recommendation for a box? Nvidia Shield pro might work but is rather expensive. Those are the ones that have caught my eye so far:Xiaomi Mi Box S (2GB DDR3 RAM; 8GB eMMC Flash; CPU: Cortex-A53 Quad-core ARM; GPU: Mali-450; Android 8.1) - see: https://www.mi.com/us/mi-box-s/specs/Thomson THA100 (2 GB DDR4; 8 GB eMMV Flash; CPU: Cortex-A53 Quad-core ARM; GPU: Mali-G31; Android 10) - see: https://asset.conrad.com/media10/add/160267/c1/-/de/002497343DS00/datasheet-2497343-thomson-4k-android-tv-box-streaming-box-4k.pdfSTRONG Leap-S1 (2 GB DDR4; 8 GB eMMV Flash; CPU: Cortex-A53 Quad-core ARM; GPU: Mali-G31; Android 10) - see: https://www.strong.tv/en/products/ip-tv-receivers/leap-s1/Nokia Streaming Box 8000 (2 GB DDR3 RAM; 8 GB eMMC; CPU: Cortex-A55 ARM; GPU: ?; Android 10) - see: https://www.nokia.com/phones/en_int/nokia-streaming-box-8000/specs.Could you recommend any of these devices for using sha
Hi, thanks for what you are doing here guys! I’m curious about how to connect the Wacom tablet to a shadow PC, I tried the beta shadow app and USB feature, but the tablet source is still not recognizable for the PC. How to emulate the connection properly to make the shadow believe that it is connected?it says that USB device is not recognized, think graphic tablets are not supported in shadow yet. I'm curios when it going to be implementedAlso when tick my Wacom Cintiq 16 in Controllers & USB it disappear from my local computer so I should unplug it and repeat the action maybe that why it can't be doneCan you fix it?
So I've been playing on my Oculus Quest headset using Virtual Desktop with Shadow. I have a cheap old laptop and I normally play alot of VRchat PC mode. What hardware should I look into for trying body tracking with Shadow VR? Is this doable? Anyone with any backdoor tricks or crazy ways to get full body tracking with shadow VR?
So I have this issue with my Shadow on Steam Deck. I can get everything loaded and log in using the Ubuntu version since it's Linux based. It loads fine but when the actual video feed from my Shadow shows up it's really red. It looks like infrared from Predator. I've contacted support who advised that other users who have had a similar issue have disabled the rgb10 drivers to make it work. They then gave me a link to a Reddit page ( https://www.reddit.com/r/ShadowPC/comments/tsx9b6/shadow_works_great_on_steam_deck/ ) where someone said basically the same thing. The problem I'm having is there is basically zero explanation on how to actually do this so I need some help with how to actually do this. A step by step would be awesome if anyone knows how. I'm sure this would be helpful to many people who have or will get a Steam Deck.
I have a Steam Deck and while Shadow “kinda” works on the Windows side I was wondering if you were planning to have support for the Chrome and Edge browser like GeForce Now, Xbox, etc have? Right now I load those platforms though the Edge browser and they work great. https://play.geforcenow.com/http://xbox.com/play Thank you
Hi all, I am using my Shadow with Shield TV and it's working awesome. No lags and great performance. But there is one thing I am missing. I am getting no Dolby 5.1 sound on my Shield TV. For my PC's 5.1 is working fine. Why is there no 5.1 for the Shield TV? Or am I wrong?
HelloI did a little test with a very old Windows 7 machine that I use to watch movies hooked up to a 42” TVI am surprised and happy to report the 64bit Windows Shadow app installed and worked fine - and I have been playing MS Flightsim on Ultra settings at 1080p 60fps and a PS4 controller pretending to be an XBox controller! The old machine lives on!
Hi everyone, I would like to purchase a new desktop to use my shadow and I m interrested by a NUC (like the 11 Pro). The configuration seems ok with the requirements to run shadow.I choose this type of configuration to have a compact and silent solution. I heard that I can have somes issues with a barebone like NUC. Did you heard something like that ? Do you think it is a good idea ?Any information will be please :-)
I too have a Tizen Samsung smart 4k UHD TV and I mean it's not hard for me to plug in my laptop and just boot shadow and still use my TV specs by putting it in game mode at 60 refresh rate at 1920 1080p fluidly but in the terms of having a " smart " TV, it's app developer community is not popular, tho pretty powerful one, amount of apps for it is pitiful and that compatibility I know is there because there's many apps on the app store just seems that nobody's even tried to develop one that actually does anything remotely. other than watch and or """stream"""" Netflix, Amazon, Disney blah blah. No games, so that being said I think it would be pretty revolutionary for tizen OS to have a shadow OS, which would completely make my huge pretty dumb smart TV a smart gaming pctv all in one without the necessity of my laptop through HDMI
I tried to play Xplane in VR with Virtual desktop on the low graphics settings in VD. But I don’t get above 25 FPS, the latency is 79 ms. It’s horrible. I have 5 Gb connection and the router is next to the PC. I think the nividea P5000 isn’t capable to play a game like this. or other high performance games like MfS who also plays x plane 11 with the p5000 card and what are your experiences and settings in Virtual desktop and xplane? And shadow I expect that the Power upgrade for this kind of flight sims games will make a big difference for performance can’t wait!
🤩 My dream setup: Raspberry Pi booting straight to Shadow Power's cloud PC. Any update on a native Raspberry client / OS?
Hi, I’m a long term Shadow user, last year I got super excited when Shadow announced an official roadmap item that aimed to support Raspberry Pi devices.Microsoft also announced recently that they are working on a feature that would let your computer boot straight to their cloud PC. Was wondering where the Shadow team got to as has been extremely quiet on this topic? My dream setup: I’d be keen to use the latest Raspberry Pi to replace my trusty (but aging) Shadow Ghost so I can finally run dual 4k monitors from one single thin client. Raspberry Pi would also enable many folks to lower the barrier to entry for affordable, fanless machines - once you’ve tried fanless pcs there’s no going back. The ability to have a Raspberry Pi OS booting straight to my Shadow (like what I can do on Ghost) would be a slick set-up. Don’t want to faff with booting Raspbian and later on having to load another app - am looking for a seamless / native experience. Could mount the Raspberry Pi behind the mon
Hi shadows user,Debian (linux) and freebsd (unix) user,I always have problems with native applications, because it always corresponds to a very specific version of a distribution and we almost always have problems even with the distribution to recommend, a web version even restraining will not be more suitable for linux users and other unsupported system, just to know if a web applicationpotentially replacement for ubuntu 18.04 which will end long term support in april 2023,What do you think ?
😀 Will Shadow ever consider developing an app for Xbox? This has come across my mind a lot, and it would actually be the perfect solution for me. I use my Xbox Series X on my desk and have it connected to my monitor/keyboard/mouse for gaming. If I could run Shadow PC on it, then it becomes a full gaming PC for me as well! That would save me the $$$ to buy another gaming PC and also save the space on my desk. Will this be a dream come true one day, or will this stay as a dream forever? 😂
I have put up with the shortcomings as far as using it on the Chromebook. The keys not binding, my inability to use shortcuts, the slow mouse at times that requires me to readjust, the useless scroll button, and I can’t use touch properly. But now, since the latest update, it’s flickering at times, making Shadow a paying service that I can’t use properly on a Chromebook, the main reason I got the Chromebook. So, is there some way that this is going to get fixed?Bad enough that Chromebooks are hardly supported, even though there’s a big message about it in the updates.
Hey mates! Currently I’m using app store market from the country where this app is not presented for mobile devices. Is it any chance to download mobile app not from Apple app store? (TestFlight or something similar).Changing the region in app store isn’t an option for me since I already have some paid subscriptions. Thanks in advance!
