I am running macOS Big Sur (11.2.1) but for the life of me can’t get my Xbox One controller to connect. The Xbox controller is plugged into my Mac via hardwire USB.I don’t even see any USB settings in the Shadow macOS launcher. What am I missing? Here is the version of the Shadow client I am running:
So I heard that Shadow supports Android and iOS mobile devices, aka your phone and tablet. I was wondering, however, how would you be able to play PC-made games that weren’t designed for mobile. Do you need a controller? Will Shadow give you on-screen controls? What happens and how does it work?
I am looking into getting a reasonably low-cost ($100-250) mini-PC to run Shadow on for my living room TV. There are tons of options on Amazon, but I am not really sure which would be give me the best experience. Does anyone have any experience with this? What are your suggestions? Thanks!
i have a trustmaster T300 alcatara edition I've been trying to use this on shadow for a long time but I can't get it to work it works a bit but the force feed back doesn't work i have installed all the drivers but then the healing send no longer works can anyone help me?
Hello folks! This issue is NOT specific to Shadow gaming; however, it will potentially impact macOS Shadow users. The goal of this post is to collaborate, and gather information about it. When using an XBO controller connected via Bluetooth with a Mac computer, there is the potential for “mismatched controls,” seemingly dependent on the firmware version of the XBO controller. Specifically, a subset of both the right trigger and right analog stick functions “overlap,” completely breaking functionality. One example: run Steam in Big Picture Mode (on your Mac), then go to Settings - Controller Settings - Xbox One Controller (under Detected Controllers) - Calibrate. Then, slowly squeeze the right trigger, and notice how the "right stick" is moving on the Y axis. And if you move the right stick up and down, it moves on the X axis. The left/right triggers are supposed to only move the Z axis, whereas the right stick is supposed to only move the X and Y rotation. The controller functiona
Hi Guys, Maybe i want to buy the new chromecast with Google TV. Do you guys have any experience how well the Shadow Android TV app is working on this device?I am planning to use it with the Xbox One Wireless controller. Its a fairly new device and i am hoping somebody tested it and can give me some feedback :) Its maybe a good alternative from the Shadow Ghost, is cheap and the availability is better than he shadow Ghost (havent seen the Ghost in stock for a long time in the EU sadly).
Since it is already possible to stream VR content using Shadow via Virtual Desktop or Shadow’s own app, do you think would be possible to enable native air link so we can have better latency and smoothenes by using ASW? P.S. If you do, please don’t forgot the Mac users!
Will we ever get virtualization support and Always on Function? Thsi would be so that we can run emulators like MEMU with bots like Gnbots? It also woudl be nice to be abel to leave your shadow on without timeout so you can leave somethgin running and come back to it. Mayeb another level of service or somthing?
I completely understand the reason for not supporting RPI3, which is fair enough I accept that, but would shadow ever consider putting in place a method of supporting the use of parsec (in terms of detecting inactivity) I plan on installing parsec on my shadow so I can use shadow on my rpi connected to my tv (which works flawlessly with my Google Cloud VM - changing from this to shadow due to costs once free trial runs out) I don’t mind using the mobile shadow app whilst using parsec to confirm my activity every 30mins, but would obviously prefer not to if possible
Ahoi dear fellow users of the photonless universe,I needed dual display support for my setup so i wrote a quick guide for everyone interested in doing the same. And before anyone complains, yes the native client main display is better for gaming because of the higher refresh rate (spacedesk has 30 FPS), BUT for anything besides fast paced First Person Shooter it is good enough. All you need is ZeroTier (https://www.zerotier.com/) and spacedesk (https://spacedesk.net/). Setup a private network in ZeroTier (great guide found here => https://support.paperspace.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004997928-How-to-Create-a-VPN-tunnel-with-ZeroTier-Windows- ) Install ZeroTier on your PC and Shadow AND accept network sharing Join the network created in step 1 AND Authorize the clients! Install spacedesk Server on your shadow and restart Install spacedesk Viewer on your PC and restart Open your Shadow to make sure spacedesk DRIVER is running (check in Taskbar by clicking on > "show hidden
Thinking about getting a Surface Pro x so would like to know if anyone has had any problems running the 32bit version of Shadow on an Arm based PC ? There are a few out there now so I would think someone has tried it. I use my shadow to do the heavy lifting my 4 year old base Surface Book cant handle and would like to continue to do the same with a lighter always on PC with a decent screen so the pro x looks like a good bet if shadow works.
So I've been playing on my Oculus Quest headset using Virtual Desktop with Shadow. I have a cheap old laptop and I normally play alot of VRchat PC mode. What hardware should I look into for trying body tracking with Shadow VR? Is this doable? Anyone with any backdoor tricks or crazy ways to get full body tracking with shadow VR?
Hello Shadowers, Received the PowerA Fusion Pro Xbox Wired USB (no bluetooth) controller for Christmas https://www.powera.com/product/fusion-pro-wired-controller-for-xbox-one-black/It does work well with macOS Catalina and Shadow but I had to fiddle around a little first. Wanted to share how I got working and some ongoing quirks. Updated the firmware to latest https://support.powera.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035586772-FUSION-Pro-Controller-2019-Release-Firmware-Update-v1-24-for-Mac Installed 360Controller Driver for macOS: https://github.com/360Controller/360Controller/releases Reboot, and plug in controller Goto System Preferences->Xbox 360 Controllers and check the Controller appears and works in Controller Test Finally, make sure you click Advanced->Pretend to be an XBox 360 Controller checkbox Launch Shadow and start streaming. Controller should appear in shadow’s list of controllers and work in your games.IMPORTANT: Every time you reboot, or unplug the controller you
I currently use Manjaro Linux as my desktop OS which is Arch based, not Debian based. I see there is a Ubuntu launcher app available but .deb files are not native to Arch. I found a Shadow launcher on the Arch AUR, however, when it launches it gets to “3. Starting Streaming” and then endlessly loops with the “We’re almost there” screen. Anyone successfully get this to work with Manjaro and if so, how?
