Arduino via USB passthrough?

I mainly use my Shadow to play in my flightsims, X-Plane and MS FS2020. For X-plane I have made a custom build set of switches to operate most cockpit functions. These are all wired to an Arduino Mega and the software on that can talk to X-plane when I run it on my local PC.

However, when I want to do that in my Shadow, I need one of following:

  • IP-tunnel from my shadow to my local-LAN so I can run the Arduino via a Raspberry that will then talk over that tunnel to X-Plane. I have little to no hope that this is a feasible option at this moment ;)
  • Alternatively I am trying to USB-passthrough the Arduino to the Shadow, but the device doesn’t show in the list of devices that I can enable the passthrough.

Any ideas on how to get this to work?

By the way, USB passthrough is enabled and I can use it perfectly for my Thrustmaster joystick / thrust combo.

Thank you in advance!

For the first option, have you looked at Hamachi or ZeroTier?

Also, an alternative method of USB forwarding is VirtualHere.
