Wondering why Detroit: Become human is re-compiling shader pipelines after each reboot of my Shadow? The documentation states that this only occurs on first launch or after a GPU driver update.
Not sure if anyone else has experienced this or found a workaround.
Detroit: Become Human - Shader pipeline compilation
Hey odetonoise,
Thanks for reporting this issue. You're not the only one, I had the same issue until this morning on my shadow with this game.
From my point of view, this issue is probably due to the nvidia quadro driver used by default on Shadow. I had the driver from November 6th (don't remember the exact version) but my issue has been resolved after an update to the 460 driver available on nVidia Website.
At the same time, this driver resolved a lot of visible shuttering available during my gaming sessions with Detroit Become Human.
So, I recommend to you to update the driver then retry to play the game :).

Just a little update : I have the same issue after relaunched the game tonight 😭
After reading some information about the game, I suppose this is due to the GPU drivers and I hope someone can resolve this bug 😎
Hi
Same issue here. If my Shadow does not go off between two game session no issue but any reboot of the Shadow leads to the news Shaders compilation and it takes about 6-7 minutes… That is very frustrating
I have the same issue. Could it be because each time we log in we are effectively using a new PC?
Same thing over here, although it does go MUCH faster after the initial compiling, which took about 20 minutes.
Second time and beyond takes about 5 minutes max.
I do have a different question about this game though. I’m trying to run the game on Ultra settings with a max framerate of 60fps. However, the game gets laggy very quickly. I can’t put my finger on whether this is the Shadow’s hardware not being able to run it smoothly, or if it’s a bandwidth issue. Does anyone have any experience with this?
