Hello everyone,So i got a question. Is it against the ToS to run a Game Bot like GNBots to play games for me on my smartphone?I know its against the ToS preventing the afk kick out of shadow, but when i run it like that with macro inputs and turn shadow off when im sleeping so its just running when im watching a movie or something like that. i would run it on my PC but its to bad actually and my movies are lagging when im doing it :/
My mouse will randomly disappear from the screen. I use my shadow for gaming and I've had this issue happen in every game I have tried. The mouse appears to still be there as I can move it around and see it highlighting things. The only way I have found to get the mouse cursor back is using the windows shortcut for the shadow overlay. When I toggle that, the mouse comes back for awhile but then disappears after some play time. Anyone have any ideas?
So, the story here is (it is a TLDR story don’t worry): I bought an Oculus Quest a couple of months ago. Enjoyed the library of games. Then looked to getting into PCVR. Didn’t want to spend $$$$$ on a VR capable PC. Saw Shadow. Bought. Waited. Activated. Installed Steam, added 256GB extra HDD. Bought & installed Half Life Alyx. Installed Virtual Desktop on the Quest, then sideloaded to get full capabilities. Fiddled with settings in Virtual Desktop to get best experience. I am like 30 or so miles from the datacenter so latency is a non-issue (SO HAPPY) I am probably, right now, half-way through the game. Only complaints I have with the VR experience is when my internet (xfinity) has a wobble and the network lags causing 2fps for a few seconds. Sometimes need to reboot the Quest / Shadow to jump back in without lag issues. All in all, experience is at an 8/10. Most of the time it is a 9/10 due to my good internet and close proximity to the datacenter
I have been able to connect a PS4 Dualshock controller to Shadow on iOS. Shadow reports recognizing it as a PlayStation 4 V2 controller. When I try to use it with Windows, Windows insists its an Xbox controller, which is mostly fine, except the gyros don’t work. I can play Overwatch with it normally except for the gyro control, which helps me aim. installing DS4Windows, which claims to support the gyros, doesn’t help. Any suggestions?
I was having problems getting kicked out of Shadow with the r-109 error. On one session I was kicked off of Shadow but remained on Steam on my headset and was able to continue playing steam games with my headset even when I was no longer connected to shadow on my pc. I do not understand how I was able to continue playing my steam games I have on my shadow pc without being logged on on my home pc
Hai :)The last two days ive been experince my mouse acting wirde! In games (ex World of Warcraft) whenever i move my character and the mouse curser is getting close to the screen edge the games is flickering like hell and that makes the games unplayble, strange thing is when i keep the mouse in the center of the screen there is no problem. Also, i got no problem on my other computer and my mouse is not the problem. What to do? Sincerely Lene
This problem started yesterday March 22nd. When I'm in any game the cursor will stop when I get to the extremes of the screen. When you're in the title screen or option screen in a game the mouse pointer will stop, of course, when you get to the edges of the screen. Makes sense. It seems to be doing this even when I'm in game. The pointer will stop and lock. It will not turn 360 degrees. Do not know why this is happening. Any help will be appreciated. ANNOYING!! LOL
I run shadow through my desktop then I run a steam link device in another room leaving the client open on my desktop. But I get kicked from shadow after because of a lack of input from the computer desktop, even though I am playing on the shadow through steam big pitcher. I do find it very annoying that me playing a game through big pitcher does not count as input…..
Asymmetric games are the ones like Acron, or Takelings House Party, where one user plays via the VR headset, and friends can join in using their cell phones. These games require all users to be on the same wi-fi. Has anyone found a way to get these to work using Shadow? My tablet is on the wifi, but of course the Shadow isnt so they wont connect. Any ideas on a workaround?
I have used my Thrustmaster TMX racing wheel for a couple of different games on Shadow, and for the most part, it’s been working great. Unfortunately, I cannot say it’s been so great when trying to play both F1 2019 and 2018 on Steam.Whenever I am using my racing wheel, both games freeze as soon as I take control, either after standing starts or automated drive outs/flying laps. This doesn’t happen if I use a traditional gamepad or the keyboard and mouse, so it has to be related to the racing wheel. Is anyone else having this issue, and/or do you know how to mitigate it. I am running the stable Shadow client on a Windows 10 laptop. I can provide additional information if need be.
Ethernet connection: Fios Gig (avg 900+ mbps)MacBook Pro 2017, 15” 2880X1800 native resolution70 Mb/s streaming settings Problem:I get consistently low FPS when playing games (~<30FPS) when set to their default settings, games include: The Long Dark, Valheim, Offworld Trading Company, For the King, Fallout 4, etc.For the games that are more FP oriented, I often get drops to the single digits during play Question: What can be done?
This isn’t so much an idea as something I’ve noticed. Sometimes I’ll connect one computer to the internet wired then use wifi to screen share to that computer so I can sit somewhere in the house. Both computers are Mac laptops using native screen sharing. I’ve noticed the mouse skipping makes games, specifically XCOM 2, unplayable in full screen. But when I run the game in windowed mode, it works fine. I’m putting this here in case someone else runs into the same issue or if it helps troubleshoot the stuttering problem.
My question is, say someone bought a Shadow PC for one month. Their subscription ends in a month and they don't have shadow. Does that hardware get recycled to the next person? If not where does it go to? My second question is if they were hardware banned from a game like say Fortnite. They recently got hardware banned on Fortnite and that specific hardware cannot play the game anymore. If you give that Shadow Account to the next person, he wont be able to play the game. How does this all work?
After contacting Shadow support about problems loading games using the quick launcher on the Nvidia Shield , I was told the following…“It's possible that the games might not be compatible with our quick launch feature. Also, our Developers decided that we will no longer support this feature”.“The main reasons for this decision are: Most of our Users were not actually using the featureThe complexity involved to automatically detect all the games installedThe lack of possibilities to personalize your experience.” “I suggest creating desktop icons on your Shadow so you can launch them faster on desktop instead. At this time, you'll need to launch the games from your Windows PC on Shadow instead in order to play the games on your Shadow”. As a Shield user, I think this sucks!
