iOS keyboard won't respond "in game"

I downloaded Skyrim from Steam this morning.  I’m at the point of character creation & when the moment comes where i have to name my character, i cannot type in the field.  When i bring up the virtual keyboard to type, nothing appears in the box, therefore, I cannot continue past this point.  So i’m at a standstill.  Does anyone know how to correct this issue?  Thanks!

BTW, I am using an iPhone XR w/ shadow app.

Use the shadow ios menu shortcuts

call up the windows menu and type in onscreen

then launch it

close the ios keyboard and use the onscreen kb

call up the windows onscreen keyboard to input the text

Hello. i have a problem on skyrim. I want to enter my character's name but the virtual keyboard doesn't work. nor the windows visual keyboard. a solution? thank you.
