I want to play a racing game with a racing wheel in VR. My question is, is it possible to combine Quest + VD + racing wheel, and how good does it work?

Yes, it is possible.
- Connect you’re peripheral (yoke/stick/wheel, ect.) to your computer
- open the shadow launcher
- go to settings
- go to the “My Shadow” tab
- ensure “Use my USB devices on my shadow” is enabled (This may require you to install drivers but it should start installing them as soon as you enable this option).
- go back to the main launcher tab (the house icon at the top right) and start shadow.
- after shadow starts up open the shadow control panel (win+alt+O on PC)
- click the “USB peripherals” tab and you should see your peripheral (ie: racing wheel) listed there
- enable the peripheral in the itemized list.
- Strap on your headset
- Select Virtual Desktop
- Open your game
- Enjoy
