hello, so they’re is this infamous problem with PSO2NGS that made the game mostly unplayable, is that the game when launched after a minuts or two, get you a message like “Error NP1013”, this error is linked to Nprotect gameguard, it would be great if the Shadow team would contact the Sega team about this, since from what i’ve seen, i’m clearly not alone in that case and i mostly get my shadow for Pso2 ngs, to see that i can’t play it is somewhat awful. but if anyone have a solution to my problem, i would love to heard it, thank you
The thing I don’t understand is why I’ve been able to randomly use the game in the past without issues on Shadow. Yea I’d have the occasional NP1013 but it was not that often. Accidentally would leave the game on afk in lobby at night and still not even disconnect. Now I can’t even load into the lobby for more than a minute or two, if that.
Just an update, for anyone else interested in this fix… i’m currently trying out various easy options to try to fix the error 1013; i’ve gotten NGS to work, but trying to replicate it for an easier to follow guide with as little steps as possible; will upadate this message later
im having the same issue. i used to not have it but now i do on a brand new shadow account.
Still nothing get to work for me, so did anyone having a solution to made this work without getting NP1013 please ?

Tried to log in again a 3rd time on same day, error 1013 again, this time tweaker permiision fix and game guard fix didn’t fix it; i had to restart shadow client, ( got an error message of BSOD) but once i restarted i was able to log back in and game using tweaker for ngs
from 3 days straight with tweaker and the solution you tell me, i didn’t even be able to stay logged in even ONCE, i wasn’t able to do any daily at all, and i still can’t install windows version of pso2 ngs, still stuck with steam version, i always get that very annoying “Error NP1013”
only thing i didn’t mention before is downgrading the drivers, but that is something maybe shadow tech support should do instead of the user, cause i had issues log in in back again after i uninstalled the graphics driver to install and older “standard” non dch driver for gpu… i’m kinda still testing it out, but now using a new controller that is recognized as xbox controller on shadow vs using a 3rd party driver . The graphics driver i don’t think should be causing the issue. i might try to see around the weekend if they can reset my shadow and attempt minimal steps to later make a guide ( i did uninstall and install pso2 a couple of times since i also only got the standard 250gb drive option)

okay, after a night of sleep and some test, no can do, your solution you gave me, still have error NP1013 (i think i even got them quicker than before)
sorry about that, i’m still testing it out; on steam i got lots on np1013, however: xbox app/windows store pso2 does log in and run, but laggs; today i tested it on tweaker….(steam ver download on tweaker) played for a about 45 minutes doing various log ins/ log outs doing daily pso2 base daily order for 5 characters… then after log out; i once again got np1013; fixed gamguard errors, crucial files and permissions with tweaker and was able to play agian, but only did my daily NGS… i did notices a few moments of lagging in kvaris snowboarding, and resolution seemed fuzzy/blurry not sharp at times, don’t konw if thats on my end or on shadow end, but doesn’t occur on my actual pc when playing
Tweaker install is probably the most stable way to play and avoid gameguard errors, but its 1st time i’m using tweaker too.
i’ll test it more on a daily basis, still undecided if its worth recommending for NGS use, but doesn’t seem stable enough to use it for NGS at moment.
i tried tweaker for steam and still wasn’t able to get past error NP1013, and i can’t install it with xbox app, it tell me that i don’t have enough space even though i have 150 G available so if you have a solution for that i would love to try with windows app
today, tested on iphone using tweaker on steam; steps i took for install: install on steam after finish downloading, i used the tweaker shortcut, told it pso2 WAS installed, Steam Version, then pointed it towards c/ programfiles x86/ steam/ steamapps/ common/ phantasy star online/pso2 bin FOLDER; i ran ngs for about 1 hour doing story; i did get error 1013 after i tried to logged back in, but on tweaker went to troubleshoot and fix permissions, and i was able to log back in after a few minutes; I’m using maximum bit rate at 15 MB/s since i was testing it out on iphone, i wanted to set my pc settings at the same. when i got error 1013 i had already logged out and was trying to do a log in a few minutes after log out, so it didn’t happen while i was in game running story or doing dailys.
Forgot to mention NGS settings are on Super 1080P capped 60FPS with bloom, blur, edge darkening, distortion setting, and a few more setttings turned off with AMD fsr 1.0 set to balanced

Steps i took,
Disabled user account control settings
checked firewall to allow NGS through
In windows security: Placed steamapps/ sega program folder on anti-virus exception list
set cloud delivery protection and automatic sample submission to off on windows security;
after that i was able to log in to my current ngs acoount on steam using my iphone 12 (wanted to share the steps i took in hopes someone finds it helpful)

what do you mean by those two step ? (for my part, firewall is checked to let ngs through and i placed the program on the exception list for windows security (i even put the files pso2-bin in))
i tested it out to log in today, got the same error, but fixed it.
