When I start boneworks I can’t do anything, my hands are open and even if I try to change binding it doesn’t do anything but blades and sorcery works fine.
I’m having the same exact problem! I just started to use the app today about an hour ago (I usually use virtual desktop) Blade and Sorcery works perfect but Boneworks, Pavlov, Bloodtrail, and other games don’t seem to work, not even Steam Home
Same for me.
I’m also having the same problem with Boneworks. I have tried just about every community controller mapping available and none of them work, even tried on both the Shadow VR Alpha and Beta builds but still nothing. Every other VR game that I have on Steam (H3VR, Arizona Sunshine, WD:S&S, Skyrim VR) works just fine. Boneworks successfully tracks my controllers and even my irl movement, but just wont accept button or joystick input. I even figured out that I can physically walk up to the starting menu buttons and press them with my hand but due to the limited size of my play space, I can’t reach the buttons after the setup menu. I really hope we can get this fixed, I want to play bone works so bad.
I wish I could play Oculus exclusives as well, I was able to launch some Oculus apps using ReVive but It doesn't track my controller. I'd love to play Lone Echo, have you tried to play any Oculus exclusive yet?
Yeah I can’t even click the button to actually get INTO the game at all.
I have found some games work with Shadow VR Alpha/Beta with the oculus controllers and some don't.
On virtual desktop they all work with the controllers and you can select a mode that changes oculus controllers to gamepad controls for games that don't work with touch controllers like racing games for example.
For this reason I continue to use both ways to access my VR library with Shadow.

Just wanted to update here on what I found. As Tanner99 said, Virtual Desktop does indeed solve the no button input issue with games that have a problem using the Shadow Alpha/Beta app, most specifically Boneworks. The game functions as it should with Virtual Desktop and so does every other game that I have tested with it so far. Virtual Desktop actually has a lot of other added benefits over the Shadow app that I didn’t even think about until I tried it for myself, like not having to wait on your Shadow PC to update or remove updates every time you want to swap between VR or flat screen games. Wish the Shadow app was in a better place, but hopefully when they reach full release it will be. Until then, I highly recommend using Virtual Desktop especially since you no longer have to sideload the patch to your Quest.

Virtual Desktop has really bad quality, if you set the bandwidth up more than 25 for decent quality it will be terribly laggy. I simply cant recommend using it over the Shadow VR App.

I think you might need to check your VD setting and/or your connection to Shadow. Virtual Desktop works great for me with very little lag.

Im bummed out that Shadow cant run VR games well. What settings do you use. Also I have great seeds yet only get 30ms+ latency on my shadow pc and with VR its just that much worse.
I have the same problem kind of in The Wizards: Dark Times. I load into the menu, but my hands/controllers doesn't show up at all. I'm stuck in the menu :S I don't know if it's related, but thought I would just trow it out there...
This should be fixed asap tbh. These games is the only games I was excited to try with ShadowVR, if refund was a option until the fix I would gladly take it.
Got shadowPC and unfortunately won't have any use for it. $29 wasted :/
The same problem. Still not fixed :(
its beyond frustrating … bw not working at all - 75% of the steam vr games are operating good via the shadow vr app but it looks like the app is still in alpha state - every 3 - 4th login you have to confirm via code because the app says new device connected - rofl. Problems with Virtual desktop aswell all the time ( was working like a charm months ago but nowadays its a shitfest to get it working … i play a lot of flat games on shadow otherwise i would have quit a long time ago ...

If u don’t mind what’s the setting to change to that mode
Has ANYONE found a solution I already spent a total of 70 dollars on shadow and Boneworks and I don’t want to pay for vitral desktop does anyone have a solution? I’d also already tried the bindings hands still don’t move and on the confirm screen
You need virtual desktop to play boneworks on Shadow pc. You go to input settings and select use Oculus as a gamepad.
