Many people ordered from quite a while ago and still are waiting a long-ass time to get this. shadow, you need to step up your game fam

I urgently need my shadow because i need it for my school work and my laptop is basically dead and i cant do anything. If u could activate it that would be great. I wont be playing games

Only a few Days before my activation week I get a message that it will change to the end of February. I can understand that it takes a little longer because of the work. But a postponement of a whole month? And i find the second one already quite cheeky by now. 

I had hoped to use Shadow as a long-term solution but, slowly I get more and more concerns. 

There is nothing wrong with prioritizing existing customers over new ones for a small company. You can expect no down time when you get it so I am not sure what this prioritization has to do with the long-term solution for actual users. It is actually good that they are doing this. Why pay 15$ for something that might not work half the time ? They make sure that existing customers have no down time and when you will get it, you will also have no down time, hopefully.

I ordered 24th January and apparently i have to wait untill september 30th  :scream:  is this a bug or forreal? 

It’s forreal, you better search up on alternatives. I’ve been waiting 3 months for my Amsterdam instance, only to recieve an email a few days ago, that it has been delayed another month (which already happened in december, where it was delayed to january).

 

I’ve tested a Texas instance and tbh: You don’t even get what is advertised. You think you get an RTX? No. It's a similar one called “Quadro” with less power ment for businiess. Same with RAM. Nowadays you even have 16 gigs on an office laptop. But your Shadow instance will only have 12 gigs. Nice.

 

Now you probably think “Well there is Shadow Infinite. Costs more, but has 16 gigs”. Yeah have fun waiting for that. Just look in the threads here. People have preordered Infinite in 2019(!!!) and are still waiting for activation. It feels like a Scam!

 

Shadow will loose to it's competitiors sooner or later. Better use something like Paperspace or AWS with Parsec/Proton. It will cost more, but you won’t have to wait 3-12 months.

Bruh, i ordered my shadow from texas cause im in Georgia and it said mid of January, it is the mid of january but now they say no because of more people r using it. Shadow team, if ur reading this, i will take out my order if you guys dont activate my account by wednesday

Is there literally any update as to when Texas will be activated. 

Ordered my Shadow on the 7th and waited till the 14th for activation

 

Got news no activations for the entirety of that week and asked to wait till mid January

 

Mid January has already passed and this week is saying again no activations this week either

 

Is there really any updates on the situation or are y'all just going keep pulling my leg giving out false dates

@DsVoid As mentioned above, I do not have any information for specific Shadow activations.   However, from the information I have, you should receive your Shadow before the end of January.

From some of the people that I have seen throughout the forums some wait years or months before getting their code can you tell us that those are accidental extremes 

 

I don't want to cancel my pre order and I do applaud you and the company for having a forum where customers can give their grievances ( unlike other game streaming services ) but I do have to worry when there is hardly any information about what I'm looking for activation wise and when said activation will be besides extremely vague statements as "the end of January" when the previous statement was "the mid of January" 

 

I understand it ain't possible for you to know when exactly a person's account will be good to go but it's also beating on us who are excited to get our systems and that excitement slowly forms into worry and annoyance of light information to help us.

You know what's funny? My shadow was activated last year. I am asked several times now, if I would recommend shadow to my friends. By all honesty what do you think I say? Yes shadow is nice and I am glad i ordered it last year. But would you recommend anything with a waiting time around 6 Months? You from Shadow have already a terrible reputation in gaming magazines and online test because of the waiting times and your incredible lack of information. Don't get me wrong, i really like your product and I hope shadow will be on top with cloud gaming. I have an amazing gaming experience, even with vr games like half life alyx. But you should stop telling people empty hang on phrases and start tell them how you will improve. And yes I know with covid everything is difficult but that can not be an excuse for everything. That critic aside I wish all of you the best and stay healthy.

Please hire more people. I ordered my shadow nearly 3 months ago and I was really hyped to get my shadow pc this week. Unfortunately no activations this week for amsterdam servers:rolling_eyes:

Ordered Shadow than ordered a Raspberry Pi and just finished it up today, Activation scheduled for tomorrow. Super bummed to see “no activations” this week. As well as the Chicago servers still degraded performance. 

I also tried Luna, Stadia and GeForce ONE but this one is the one that I am MOST excited for. Like the love that I just can’t seem to ever have… Tragic.

Hi, I ordered from Chicago servers January 11,2021. It says activation date is January 21, 2021. Is this still gonna be activated on this date or will there be given another date of expectation?

so have i, im hoping we wont have to wait until next week and we will get it on the 21st like what was promised.

I ordered January 5th, and it said available on the 21st. But doesn’t look like they are doing any activations this week in the Chicago Datacenter. 

honestly think its bullshit that they have specific dates almost s if they are promising that we will get it that day but then they are just like “lol, yeah no. wait an extra month.”.

Not a question asking for my activation to be expedited but just one to hopefully help clear up some confusion!

I’m a UK based customer, and on “My Account” page it details the below:

August 30, 2021

 

And on the first page it says activations this week are until August 30 for UK customers..

 

Does this mean that I’m likely to get activated this week or does it mean I’ll need to wait until end of August? I’m happy with either but just want to know where I stand to manage expectations!

Just got notified that my shadow won't be activated till February now and I live in California. I was supposed to receive mine today the 21st because I purchased on the 8th. We need better communication from you guys.

All i read is Shadow Boost. I preordert Shadow Ultra Dezember 2019 (yes 2019). Is activation of Shadow Ultra planed or is this cancelt to set up just Boost?

I pre-ordered on Jan 14, so why am I being told on my orders page that my activation will happen at the end of February? Can shadow please be honest with their customers and give us realistic activation dates instead of promising one week activation and delaying 20 times.

Yesterday my account said the pc would be done by today. Just checked today and now it will be done by the end of Feb. Actually miffed cuz I had a plan for today’s gaming crusade into vr.

Update: Due to receiving conflicting information, I will not be posting the new activation update until I have accurate information.

OK now I cancel my order, I totally loose trust in you.

More the time pass more blurry are things, we've be waiting long enough.

The newest excuse is not COVID, now its Cyberpunk...what a joke. Guys don’t tell us phrases. It is better not to give out any information than to fool people. I've been put off twice now and am already looking forward to the third time...NOT!!! Best regards from a angry customer from Germany.

I was supposed to have a Jan 21st activation but like everyone else it got pushed back to the end of February. I woke up this morning and my shadow had been activated. 

 

Did that happen for anyone else? Chicago data center btw.

Also for anyone wondering, it's great. I got it for mostly VR and it does the job. I did max it out on no mans sky though. Looked and ran pretty bad on medium.
