I was supposed to have a Jan 21st activation but like everyone else it got pushed back to the end of February. I woke up this morning and my shadow had been activated. 

 

Did that happen for anyone else? Chicago data center btw.

Also for anyone wondering, it's great. I got it for mostly VR and it does the job. I did max it out on no mans sky though. Looked and ran pretty bad on medium.

Damn coldjackie you need to grow up and wait for your turn. I have to wait until September but you don’t see me moaning about it. The reason why it’s probably taking a while is maybe because they are short of staff because of COVID and there are thousands of activations they need to do and it takes Time. So shut up and be patient

I waited 5 months, was well worth the wait! Playing fs 2020 now and it is amazing. The wait was like waiting for Xmas as a child, all part of the fun lol!

 

I have the impression that those comments are somehow fake. They are meant to keep us waiting people in line. I mean why would someone who’s account has been activated bother to read and write in this thread?

 

This adds to my anger I have regarding the delay and the unprofessional behaviour of shadow. 

 

  1. Its ridiculous that you have to look for your activation date in such a chaotic forum. The timetable for your datacenter should be in your account.
  2. When the company itself shows to he public that there are huge problems - shit is getting real.
  3. Calling Cyberpunk the reason for delay is just a joke. I mean you offer a service so that people can play a game. It cant be a surprise that they do want they are meant to do: playing games. Its like you are running a club and it appears to be a problem for you that people are dancing.

I had Shadow previously back in early 2020, and it was great. I can confirm shadow is not fake, and have you ever heard of what demand is? They have to get the hardware for everyone’s shadow, it’s not just as easy as making a VM and booting it up. They are probably saying Cyberpunk is the reason for the delay because many people’s computers can’t handle the game, so they come to Shadow.

That argument is invalid at least for Amsterdam and Paris since the queue is fixed for months now. I ordered shadow in Oct 2020 ( datacenter amsterdam) and Cyberpunk got released in december 2020 so there is no way people that got hyped by cyberpunk can be in front of me in the activitation queue - so they can not be the reason for the delay.

since there is a queue for activitation the demand is somehow “regulated” and your argument of supply and demand doesnt work anymore.

I might just cancel because i have waited awile, and I hear that people have wated up to three or four months.My shadow isnt set to be ready for two or three months, there should be some sort of extra payment you can make to get your ready sooner.I would pay up to 18$ to have mine ready by February,4.

Please hire more people. I ordered my shadow nearly 3 months ago and I was really hyped to get my shadow pc this week. Unfortunately no activations this week for amsterdam servers:rolling_eyes:

Hi, I ordered from Chicago servers January 11,2021. It says activation date is January 21, 2021. Is this still gonna be activated on this date or will there be given another date of expectation?

I ordered the same day and I’m in Minnesota so Chicago servers as well and I am too was curious. However, I’ve been watching the servers and the Chicago one hasn’t changed since I ordered. Just know, you’re not alone. Bought a Ras Pi and just finished it up this morning just for Shadow.

Ordered Shadow than ordered a Raspberry Pi and just finished it up today, Activation scheduled for tomorrow. Super bummed to see “no activations” this week. As well as the Chicago servers still degraded performance. 

I also tried Luna, Stadia and GeForce ONE but this one is the one that I am MOST excited for. Like the love that I just can’t seem to ever have… Tragic. 

agreed. Was super stoked to actually have a high end pc i could play multiple games i own such as dragon ball fighterz, hades, minecraft, overwatch, etc etc. Hopefully there’s no more postpones

so have i, im hoping we wont have to wait until next week and we will get it on the 21st like what was promised.

I ordered January 5th, and it said available on the 21st. But doesn’t look like they are doing any activations this week in the Chicago Datacenter.

I would like to think it's because of Covid that they are delayed. Or maybe they need more employees/data centers. I'm not gonna give up yet. Thankfully the first month of billing doesn't start until after activation.

@DsVoid As mentioned above, I do not have any information for specific Shadow activations.   However, from the information I have, you should receive your Shadow before the end of January.

Why can't you guys just like simply activate some accounts so you guys dont get alot of bad reviews just for not helping us with the activation time quicker because it will make things so much easier for you and to the public and yes I know you're low on staff but that doesn't change the fact that people expect it to be at least when is said to be done so please get to it thank you

@Sid Thanks for reaching out.  I do not have information about specific Shadow activations but from the information I have, you should receive your Shadow by the end of January 2021.

according to the article i shhould have gotten mine i pre ordered on the 7th and yet nothing. its already the end of the month now. but texas keeps getting no activations im confused why have those time frames if they arent being followed

With the last e-mail, the confidence to offer something that is in the stars is really unreasonable. Because of a game like cyberpunk. Why don't you deactivate the registrations if you can't keep it anyway.

You know I was going to write a reply earlier saying I hope that this literally legitly turns on the 21st Chicago server like I said it was when I signed up now it's saying end of February I don't know if I should trust this place or not but my buddy is a huge YouTuber I'm on a show a lot with a lot of new tech I was going to try to sound for a month and then give it a nice review and you know help promote it I don't think so anymore it's like the same old story down servers it's like of course why don't you plan for that you know everyone's on covid everyone's playing video games look at how the ps5s are look how graphics cards are I don't know if I can recommend this first of all I can't even try it so I don't know I'm pretty upset and to be honest I look at the most of the replies that the same old story I think this is brought on to we too soon for pre-orders sad

This frustrating because of cyperpunk 2077 game not even that good. I just paid for shadow a week ago and I was supposed to get it today, but no I have to wait end of February cause of cyperpunk 2077 stupid game….

Dude I’m pretty sure your gonna get it on that date it’s just the Chicago and Texas servers.If not I suggest a refund because of the misleading information.
