This week’s activations are rolling along at a steady pace across all datacenters. We do not have activations scheduled in the AMS datacenter this week due to high peak usage.

wtf - 3 weeks without any activations in amsterdam. what is the reason for this? you say its cyberpunk but thats bull. people are playing cyberpunk all over the world so why are there activations in all data centers except ams? i am just keeping my pre-order because i’ve waited too long already but your service and company is definitely nothing to recommend to other people.

That’s a statement I can understand. So why aren’t you communicating this directly in the post?  High-Peak rates and queues do mean a complete other thing to me...

Please start activating Amsterdam 

Please start either activating in Amsterdam or get a new one in Germany because if y'all do an investment like this a lot of subscribers won't cancel their subscription. Gotta wait until end of may...

Ugh. I have to wait another week for the Chicago servers. Was really looking forward to this week. Yet the Texas sergers already have covered all of January.

Why doesn’t uk get any activations I bought this so I could play with my area on pc but this shitty company is taking a year to even think about activating uk

Orders in OCTOBER ?! My Shadow in AMS should be activated in Jan and in feb you are not activating

so its a suprise to you that people are actually using their shadow after they waited for it for months?! come on. and there is still the question why only the ams-data center is affected in such a huge way that there are no activations at all for three consecutive weeks. 

What are you doing there? 7 months for a simple activation? Like, are you building a custom pc for me or what takes so much time there, those cloud services are getting more and more customers in the future, think of a new way to activate a new pc...ridiculous 

WOW take a 3 week break for a game to activate it is sad. Instead of not blocking the game because it uses up too much data it is much easier. I could overlook a game, but activating a lot of people who are now even more angry does not go into my head.

I ordered Chicago on the 22nd. I just checked and it’s not listed anymore in orders but I did not receive any update emails what does this mean?

Man this post isint making it easy if i should cancel my order! cause all i see is unhappy costumers and people not getting what they paid for. Not exactly something i want hear as a new costumer, i knew it was to good to be true. and aint no way im sitting a waiting for months on end for a service i might not even get. YOu have to step your game up Shadow, really step up. or call it all alpha testing

I am happy for you @navyfighter12 but i really dont get it. In amsterdam there are no activations for 3 weeks now so no new people using the service but @BrittaneyFromShadow says the increase of users is the reason for stopping the activations. and then there is the data center in texas where you get activated almost immediately and the rising number of users doesnt seem to be a problem at all.

 

its annoying that we are put off week after week - after waiting already for several months. but at least give us a reason thats plausible.

C'est quoi ce foutage de gueule, je vais devoir attendre 7 mois ?!?

Ouais mdr je viens de voir ça j’ai annulé la précommande direct. Je savais pas que ça existait des entreprises qui mettent 8 mois à livrer un produit dématérialiser.

Il ferait mieux de sous traité à AWS.

Toujours pas de news à propos des précommandes ULTRA et INFINITE de 2019. 

Pas un petit mot en 6 mois.

 

On attend tous le 31 Mars, date à laquelle ils communiqueront sur le prochain retard.

Reçu le 30 Janvier 2020

Signed up for shadow beginning of Jan 21 with an activation month of August and after reading quite a few comments on here, I thought I would add mine.

In my onion Shadow should be doing this:

  1. Stopped all activations ages ago just like Maximumsettings where you cannot purchase anything as new hardware is needed.
  2. Upgrade the capacity of all data centres
  3. Reopen activations and place a message on your website stating something to this effect.
  4. Close activations once capacity reached and apologise saying capacity is reached and that you are busy upgrading and to check back soon.

If I get greeted with a message like from maximumsettings to say you cannot sign up due to hardware upgrades I think “oh well guess I was a bit late, but I'll continue checking on and off” and think no more of it.

Now with shadow I am checking every week to see if my activation is delayed, brought forward and seriously considering cancelling and having the money back in my bank account.

As more customers sign up, the longer the delays are getting and rightly so people are asking questions and this will inevitably lead to shadow having a very poor reputation for customer service and specially for not delivering a service which people have already handed over money for.

Covid-19 has messed things up quite considerably but allowing people to hand over their money for the promise of a cloud pc in 8 - 10 months is very bad business practice.
