Amsterdam activations takes 1 week for 3 order-days (26.11.-28.11.). Hopefully this is because of a lot of preorders and not because of slow work. 

 

I hope preorders from Dec, 6th 2020 will be activated this month.

You can see it in “my orders”, on the right of your order-date. 

Mine says March, 24th 2021. According to the list here it will be activated at the end of this month.

Why are only 3 days being activated in Amsterdam this week. In 1 week just 3 days? Damn that's slow. I hope it's going to get faster with the new investors.

Amsterdam activations takes 1 week for 3 order-days (26.11.-28.11.). Hopefully this is because of a lot of preorders and not because of slow work. 

 

I hope preorders from Dec, 6th 2020 will be activated this month. 

I pre-order on the 30th November and it's a bit disappointing that they only activated 3 days this week. I hope that I will be activated next week. The long waiting time is driving me crazy.

Hello,

in my Shadow Account the pre-order information says that my rig will be available at 29th March 2022. This list says if I lookup my pre-order date, that my rig will be available by the end of September 2021. Which one is correct?

We are not crying. We just hope, that our activations will be “in time”.

I ordered on Dec 6th 2020 under the premise that activation will be on Mar 24th 2021. 

Today, I wouldn´t order considering the current situation. I think four months are way too long. A whole year is an epic fail of leadership and organization. The managers are laughing their asses off when they see that people still order.

The manufacturing and delivery time of almost every car is less than a year. Shadow failed extremely.

Pre-order 6th of December here 🙋🏻‍♂️, I'm glad to see that my rig will be available by the end of this month.

However, I do understand the frustration of people here, but just like @Wizzzzard wrote:

You can clearly see that the waiting list got build up from few months starting from Jan'21 to a year by March '21.

This is all thanks to COVID-19, high increase demand in dedicated remote desktop solution, plus limiting the amount of recourses needed to supply such a large demand (staff, hardware, production, acces to the datacentre/illnesses and ofcourse gov. restrictions (curfews and such). It's just bad cocktail mixture.

And if thats wasnt enough, crypto miners soaking up even more shares of hardware suppliers. Plus, Amsterdam and Paris are the only two connections in mainland Europe. Imagine how many pre-orders from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal etc that would actually be.

Me persionally, I dont blade Shadow Tech for it, it was clear for my from the get-go that I would have to wait before I could use the service. And depending on Shadow Tech's communication I would consider waiting even more or canceling my pre-order. To which they do just fine, weekly updates and fast responces in the Customer Service part.

So just on tight fellas!​​​​​

For people who have to wait a loooooong time before their rig is up you could be doing or all of the following in the meantime:

  • keep an eye out on deals on Steam/Epic/Battle etc, you'll have ur games ready to go when ur rig is set up
  • there are alternatives to Shadow, I personally used Stxdix Pro for free for a month, now the free version Stxdix Base . For whenever I have the urge to play games. 
  • Bxxsterxid & Vxrtex are another alternatives, they are very cheap, but don't expect much from it with high FPS games, or when u would like to stream ur gameplay also its just garbage by then and even though they use remote desktop u can't go past playing games. No use of the desktop pc for other purposes.
  • Nvxdxa Get Force and Xbox Gxme Pxss are good alternative but I'm guessing there's a reason you're here and not there

Isn´t there any blocking software or a script which is running all the time to prevent it?

Of course there are restrictions in data protection, but in 2021 there must be a solution for that.

According to terms of conditions, its forbidden/not allowed to mining cryptocurrency.

What I meant was that the hardware components to build a game server (rig) are not in abundance.

I can imagine Shadow Tech or their main hardware supplier has to wait in line just like anyone else for the hardware components. Though I might be wrong here, not sure miners use the same CPU/GPU chipset games use.

For now, preorders are maintained. The arrival of a new investor will allow us to have more clarity on the deployment plan. As a reminder, preordering a Shadow Ultra or Shadow Infinite is free, and you can always cancel via your account page.

Any reason why it says here that the activation date is end of March, while on my account it says 29th of July? Which one is the right one? Talking about Shadow Boost.

@Eddy2021 Unfortunately I do not get information for specific Shadow activations.  The information I have is the most updated per Monday.  If you see differently, you can reach out to our support team for further investigation.
