Hey Team Shadow,
 

Welcome to this week’s update on Shadow Boost activations.

Now that we’re a few days into Early July, it’s important to note that our team is still heads down working on the delay for those who ordered before May 26th at Chicago, New York, or Texas. As mentioned in the email sent to impacted users, our teams are working with partners to deliver a primary storage deployment necessary for giving you access to your Shadows. 

 

European activations are on track and rolling smoothly, with specific activation targets listed below. Santa Clara is activating on schedule (promised July 2020).

 

UPDATE:
Fortunately this week the team has been able to activate ahead of our initial Monday projections for Paris, Chicago, New York, and Texas! The “Target by next activation update” sections for each data center have been updated with the latest dates.

 

 

As a reminder:
-We activate Monday through Thursday

-Beginning at 8am local time each day for each datacenter
 

Below is the activation information by datacenter. You can check which datacenter you belong to here. 


 

CHICAGO:

If pre-order date is before May 26th:
Activation in Early July 2020 (delayed from June)

If pre-order date is between May 26th - June 1st:

Activation by July 23rd 2020 (after pre-orders before May 26th)

If pre-order date is June 1st or later:

Activations starting from July 2020 (after pre-orders before June 1st)

Target by next activation update:
Latest activation has May 17th pre-order date (was May 13th)


 

DALLAS:

If pre-order date is before May 26th:
Activation in Early July 2020 (delayed from June)

If pre-order date is between May 26th - June 1st:

Activation by July 23rd 2020 (after pre-orders before May 26th)

If pre-order date is June 1st or later:

Activations starting from July 2020 (after pre-orders before June 1st)

Target by next activation update:
Latest activation has May 24th pre-order date (was May 19th)


 

NEW YORK:

If pre-order date is before May 26th:
Activation in Early July 2020 (delayed from June)

If pre-order date is between May 26th - June 1st:

Activation by July 23rd 2020 (after pre-orders before May 26th)

If pre-order date is June 1st or later:

Activations starting from July 2020 (after pre-orders before June 1st)

I have ordered mine on 24 May when would mine be activated?

Based on the current trend, likely next week. However, we’ll confirm that in next week’s update when we provide the new “Target by next activation update” for Amsterdam

Hello i just got shadow on july 4th do you know a possible day for me to get activated i would love to know im in santa clara datacenters

I ordered on 5/21 for the NY data center. I’m cautiously optimistic I’ll be playing next week. Fingers crossed.

Just curious if you've been activated yet? I ordered may 25th, NY, and still haven't gotten my activation notice. Annnnd sine we're into mid July now and past "early july" I was just wondering if their claimed activation times were legit or not.

In the same boat. NY servers. Ordered mine May 27th and its now mid-July. I really hope it gets activated soon.

Hello everybody

 

Looking at the activation times looks like people who were sent the prediction Early July will be delayed once again. Just looking at the statistics. Sorry to tell you guys but everybody who ordered after may 20 will not be activated the week of 7/12 looking at the statistics. you are looking at maybe 1-2 more weeks of wait time, which is not too much!!

These guys are the worst it’s better to just tell the real dates instead of instantly extending treating their customer like this smh it’s so frustrating I’ve been with for a month and 3 weeks bro this is getting old

I feel your pain, I ordered at 01.04.20 @ Amsterdam and it doesn’t matter to anyone.

I got activated today! Actually, no. It says I’m activated on my orders page but I still - can’t - access - my shadow. Customer Support isn’t helping!

@mememasterboi It says the same for me. Same pre-order date for New York. Seems like they activate today, access might be another issue though. I assume the email will notify us when we can actually log in - today or tomorrow?

I know this is a long shot but anybody with a 5/21 preorder date for NY get activated yet?  I’m guessing it won’t be until later this week but I’m hoping for the best.

May 22nd when I made a preorder for boost. Hopefully this week of July 13-17 we can see some activations happen. Fingers Crossed

Since the subscription is starting today, I would expect usable service before midnight. Even then that would be a flimsy justification for billing today.

Since the subscription is starting today, I would expect usable service before midnight. Even then that would be a flimsy justification for billing today.

From what I’ve heard from other people, if your account activates tomorrow, the subscription start date would change to reflect that. You don’t have to worry about losing a day. You can always contact support if that’s not the case though.

Thanks for the info. The account page is in a weird limbo right now where the order does not show up anymore but the subscription page implies it has started while you are unable to log in though.

We are early adopters but as the service is growing people will be less and less willing to puzzle together what exactly is happening with their account by engaging with the community.

Clearer menus and unequivocal information, please.

This is so damn confusing, the subscriptions tab says im activated but I can’t use the service - FIX YOUR SERVICE SHADOW PLEASE
