Hello and welcome to Shadow’s brand spankin’ new official community forum! :raised_hands:

If you’re reading this, you’re one of the lucky few to have gotten in early to test it out and provide us with your unfiltered feedback. :smile:


We’re still in the very early phases of building the forum but our ultimate goal is to create a place where #TeamShadow can come together to discuss and interact with others on all topics ranging from Shadow to gaming and everything else in between!
 

HOW YOU CAN HELP THE COMMUNITY FORUM

Please take a (virtual) walk around the community forum to explore the possibilities. We’d love for you to tell us what you think and how we can make this an enjoyable experience for all.

How to give feedback?

We urge you to also start creating posts to ask questions, discuss Shadow related topics and help others on the community forum.  

:first_place:  Lastly, everyone who helps out before the official launch will unlock a special badge. This will be your very first special badge which you can put in your trophy case - I’m sure there will be many more to come ;)

Suggestion to add another topic option, something like tip or general help/advice.

Add a wall of badges that display what each one does/how it is given out and maybe some statistics on how many people have this badge Like “# of people | % of total site population”

Oh and of course, dark mode. Its soo bright.. my eyes!

Possibly an in browser notification for new messages, replies, etc as to not check email every 2 seconds and if some people prefer not to get email notifications.

A report/flag, block member button or something like that. As well as possibly displayable country tags for posts/members.

There should be a “Flag” button, that is mostly the same as reporting.

A section or subsection for developing issues. A place where, when issues that are starting to be noticed by the community, people can add more information to help narrow down the root cause. Topics could be narrowed by Data Center and be tagged depending on the type of issue occurring (hardware, software, or networking). 

 

Edit: This would be specific to issues that are happening to multiple people and can not be narrowed down to a typical troubleshooting case.

Yes there is a certain “threshold” for how long you can edit comments. I’m sure Luc wants to make the time a little longer, but not too long.

An in website notification system would be nice to have.

I found kinda difficult to create my account, the pop up to input my details kept closing when i tried to highlight and delete my email which was automatically entered as my username, other than that, this is pretty cool!

Likes haven't seemed to have reset together with the points for the week.

I'm not sure if it's my incompetence to click within boxes, but I made the sign up box disappear five times before I finally managed to fill in all the things. It seems it's very sensitive to clicking outside the box.

I tried to remove the username (it was stuck on my email address because google tried to fill that in and wouldn't let me change it until I removed the password) and selecting it made me go outside the window, which closed the box. 

 

I just noticed that Dark posted the same issue. 

It would be nice if it would show that someone has edited their message.

I agree with tatts, the pop-up window was and is very sensitive to dragging/selecting outside of it.

I know it’s a very little thing but going to like or quote a reply if you approach from above with your mouse just shows all the other likes, maybe moving the thing showing who has liked the reply to the bottom right would be easier, it is easy to avoid, maybe i’m being picky.

I also feel the menu drop down bar is a bit iffy, maybe if all the topics in it were down the left hand side of the whole site it would be a little easier to navigate. And maybe put newest comments at the top of the page, then they’re seen more easily.

Make separate subforums/topics for the Official, Beta and Alpha client. This would help avoid confusion and track issues, feedback and overall user experience across the clients.
