 Hey #TeamShadow,

It's been a while since we released an update... Watch out, we're catching up! You won't be disappointed by the amount of new features and fixes we've deployed.

Here are all the changelogs for this week 👇

Shadow Official

Desktop - Launcher v4.28.7

  • Shadow Streamer v4.0.22

New Features:

  • We've been hard at work making the streamer more stable and the app more efficient.

Fixes and Improvements:

  • Copy-Paste is now always working

  • Improved Display Management feature

  • Fixed the issue with the offset cursor, that displayed the cursor away from the actual click

  • Fixed the issue with the invisible cursor on the Dual Screen feature

  • TCP performance improved

  • Fixed the issue with the "Right-Control" key not working

  • If a graphics card is faulty, we correctly switch to "deteriorate" mode to allow you to trigger the shutdown and start-up of the VM

Shadow Beta

Desktop - Launcher v4.29.10

  • Shadow Renderer v3.15.14

  • Shadow Quick Menu v1.11.12

New Features:

  • Remote screen (formerly "extra screen" in Alpha, remastered). The aim is to be able to use another device as an additional screen, without having to plug it into the main unit. Simply launch the same Shadow account on both devices and you'll be prompted to activate the feature.

  • 4:4:4 hardware decode on Windows and Linux. If you have a 1600+ generation Nvidia graphics card, we will detect it and decode the Shadow stream directly on it. Please note: you must also install the Cuda driver on Linux.

  • Improved the Send Logs feature if your friends in the Support or moderation teams ever ask you for them

  • Support for portrait orientation when configured locally

  • Added TrackIR support for simulation games

  • Added a new pop-up, to remind you that you can reduce your monthly bill thanks to referral :)

Fixes and Improvements:

  • Transfer of USB devices on macOS Monterey available

  • Fixed Quick Menu being blurry on Retina screens (macOS)

  • Fixed RAM usage that was increasing over time when using Metal (macOS)

  • Improved notifications when switching between mouse mode/window mode

  • Fixed a problem in the mic tab of the Quick Menu

  • Support for Xbox controllers with their new update

  • Fixed several minor bugs and crashes

iOS - Launcher v3.9.1

New Features:

  • Remote screen - The goal is to be able to use another device as an additional screen, without the need to connect it to the main display. Simply launch your Shadow using the same account on both devices and you will be prompted to activate this feature. Note that you must launch your Shadow on your additional device after starting your Shadow on the original device.

Fixes and Improvements:

  •  A lot of bug fixes regarding controllers, menu interactions, cursor, etc.
