Hey #TeamShadow!

Welcome to the new year! The whole team joins me in wishing you a sweet and happy new year in 2021! We hope you had a wonderful time spending the holidays celebrating with your loved ones, family, and/or friends.

In this release, we had a lot of changes on our side that may be invisible to you.   One update you might be interested in: we are preparing the arrival of the multi-screen on desktop applications!

With this new Android Beta update, your stream will remain stable when your network conditions deteriorate thanks to the arrival of the dynamic quality!

Here are all the changelogs for this week:

Shadow Official - Desktop and Boxes - Launcher v4.20.6

Fixes and Improvements:

  • Internal technical fix

  • Fix of a launcher issue that made it unusable in macOS

Shadow Beta - Desktop and Boxes - Launcher v4.21.8

Updates:

  • Shadow Renderer v3.8.6

  • Shadow Overlay v1.8.5

New:

  • Adds the possibility to change the streaming protocol and audio quality from the quick menu

Fixes and Improvements:

  • Fixed a bug that could make 2 cursors appear in the same game

Shadow Beta - iOS - Launcher v3.4.0

Fixes and Improvements:

  • With this new iOS update, streaming will remain stable when your network conditions degrade thanks to the Adaptive Bitrate.

  • It is also easier for you to use Shadow on an external screen.

  • We’ve fixed a bug that was keeping your Shadow update progress to 0%.

Shadow Beta - tvOS - Launcher v3.4.0

Fixes and Improvements:

  • With this new tvOS update, streaming will remain stable when your network conditions degrade thanks to the Adaptive Bitrate.

  • It is also easier for you to use Shadow on an external screen.

  • We’ve fixed a bug that was keeping your Shadow update progress to 0%.

Shadow Beta - Android - Launcher v3.4.4

New:

  • Adding the setting "Maximum Adaptive Bitrate", it's simple, with this new feature, if we detect any instability in your connection, we will reduce the maximum bitrate to always favor the fluidity of the stream. And when your connection becomes stable again, we will restore its initial value. Isn't that nice?

Fixes and Improvements:

  • Fix the sound problems you reported on Sony Bravia TVs

  • Fix an issue that caused the app to get stuck on "applying new resolution" when you launched a game in a resolution that was not the one used in Windows

  • Fix a display bug that kept the progress of your Shadow update at 0%
