Hey #TeamShadow,

We update the app regularly so we can make it better for you.

Our Developers have performed some magic to fix the problems related to Android 11, so you can update your phone without risking not being able to use your Shadow anymore. Feel free to enjoy Shadow on Android 11!

We’ve also added the following features on our desktop Beta app: USB automatic forward, Synchro Settings between Quick menu and Launcher (Max. Bitrate, Codec), a new interface for the Settings and Update screen on the launcher, and the gamepad Nimbus+ now supported on macOS.

Here are all the nitty-gritty details for this week:

Shadow Official - Desktop + Boxes - Launcher v4.16.6

  • Shadow Renderer v3.3.21

Fix & Improvements

  • Released a patch that solves sound problems with the "High-Quality Audio" option

Shadow Official - Android Application Mobile + App TV - Launcher v3.2.3

Fix & Improvements

  • Shadow now works on Android 11

Shadow Beta - Desktop - Launcher v4.17

  • Shadow Renderer v3.4

All Platforms

  • You can now switch device with a game launched and we won't apply the new resolution.

  • USB forwarded peripherals are now automatically saved for your next sessions.

  • Maximum bitrate and High-Efficiency Video Coding (H.265) settings are now synced between the Quick Menu & the Launcher.

  • The Shadow update system will now alert you if you are about to switch between different Shadow versions (Official, Beta, Alpha).

  • Display data consumption per hour to help you estimate your data needs depending on the bandwidth setting.

  • All the settings are now sorted into categories and they feature much more detailed descriptions.

  • Releasing the "Limited frame rate" setting in the launcher: this setting will improve low-end configurations supports when the hardware decoding capacities are limited.

  • Adding a "clear redirected device list" option to restore automatic USB forwarded devices on the local machine.

  • Add reset setting option in the launcher to clean all Shadow settings (Launcher and Quick Menu).

  • Adding support for the Steelseries Nimbus+ game controller.

  • Adding a close stream and shutdown button in the Touchbar.

  • Fixed a bug where the cursor was stuck on the edge of the screen in locked mode.

Shadow Beta - tvOS - Launcher v3.2.0

Fix & Improvements

  • We've added the connection test at the start, which allows you to set your bandwidth and improve your experience.

Shadow Beta - iOS - Launcher v3.1.1

Fix & Improvements

  • Fixed mouse issues on iOS 14. The mouse lock mode, similar to the desktop apps, is not available yet but it's coming soon!
