Pac-Man
It's a bit fiddly to set up but it's a worthwhile experience. I'm on a 50Mb connection with 14ms latency to Shadow in Paris. It does need the bandwidth though and you have to be very careful about other users on your connection at the same time. Ultimately I've ended up with the best experience later in the evening after my kids have gone to bed. One issue on bandwidth though is that I'm never really sure what the best setting in virtual desktop actually is. You can set between low, medium, high or insane but the higher settings seen to cap to the available speed anyway. Plus they don't appear to report it correctly either. Something that I'm hoping the Shadow specific app will rectify in line with the way that the Shadow desktop app deals with bandwidth.
I fell ill recently and spent a good week and some decent time after racking up 130 hours on Witcher 3, playing through to completion on this setup. For the most part I had the phone separate, propped up on the pillow next to me as I lay down. DLC still to complete.
Is your ethernet pure ethernet or powerline ethernet? I had a similar problem with powerline ethernet being the issue and switching to proper ethernet being the cure.
I believe it's also excluded in the T&Cs
I'm not sure how or whether you can add the built in cam from your MacBook but I've added a usb cam on my Shadow Ghost and you might find the results disappointing due to the lack of bandwidth available for usb. If you do get it working you may be able to play around with capture resolutions to reduce bandwidth and get smooth video but I certainly wasn't able to do that with my setup.
If you're on wireless then if suggest connecting via ethernet and testing. Wireless can be fickle at different times depending on local interference. You're laptop may have also switched to 2.4ghz instead of using 5ghz which will force a radical bandwidth drop and introduce interference.
