Will we at least be getting more storage when they raise the price to $30?Or are we stuck on 256 unless we keep paying more? I buy 512GB extra. I could live going up to $30 total, but not $36.
I have been so impressed by Shadow Boost the past five weeks that I just selected the annual commitment from my account page! However, once September 18 2021 rolls around, what will happen to my plan? Will I be moved to the Shadow Boost monthly plan at that time automatically, so that my options would be open again? Thank you so much! Shadow continues to impress me every day!
Shadow Boost states the processor should be up to 3.4 GHZ (clearly with Turbo Boost and not base clock). However, if I open Geekbench 5 in Shadow, it is a 2.5 GHZ that Turbo Boost only up to 3.0GHZ. Are some servers only turbo boost up to 3.0GHZ despite the advertisements for 3.4?
My Shadow is pretty awesome. If I am watching a video on the Windows Shadow PC or playing a game, Shadow ramps up and uses up to 50Mbps at 1080p to keep the quality very high.However, I feel I sometimes notice a shuttered frame or a tear every now and again on games or streaming video (and by every now and again I would say a few times per minute). Is this something that is very hard to get right when you’re streaming a video feed of a computer somewhere else?Or are there settings I should try in Windows? My display is only 60Hz, so I am not super picky, but it doesn’t look continuously smooth in fast motion say in the video like I mentioned or in a driving game. You could blame the game, but so far I’ve played games that are not demanding and why would I even notice it on streaming video? Should I not expect it to be smooth? Or should I try some settings? Thanks.
My Shadow was activated this week, pretty exciting! When I first took my PC over, I felt like there was over 200GB of the 256GB SSD available. I also added 500GB of hard drive storage.However, after installing just 2-3 small apps like 1 password, and one game (2013 Tomb Raider only 10GB), I am down to 170GB. Tomb Raider 10GB is the biggest thing I installed. I was staying over 200, and only noticed the 170GB after being away a few hours and doing a couple restarts. Could this be windows updates in the background or something that took all this space? How much space do you all normally have on a pretty much brand new Shadow PC? Finally, I will say it sure is cool to put Shadow in a Mac “spaces desktop” and quick key or mouse back and forth between Mac and Windows, you wouldn’t even know it’s a cloud PC! To follow up, it seems over 65GB of my space is in system files. Only around 14GB is to apps. Is that much in system files normal? Thank you.
