Anyone else having problems with Steam VR not detecting Oculus Quest 2 headset after Steam updated their app last Friday? I belive Shadow`s software (Alpha) is not corresponding with Steam`s new software update. Any suggestions? Appreciate all the help as I currently can not access the VR stream but only the 2D desktop. Ps: I know many are using Virtual Desktop – but until now I have been very happy using Alpha. And not interested going through the hassle of using AirLink – as my experience so far is Alpha should do the job with out any “extra” (VD and AirLink). Thanks guys! Best regards, Kevin
As the title says, I normally play mobile games on my PC. I often have performance issues on my old 2010 computer. I got an email today that shadow is ready. I am very exited by what I see.So I immediately installed bluestacks and nox and I’m trying to run epic seven on shadow. I ran into a problem. First bluestacks - I can’t use more than 1 core because virtualization is disabled.Normally you would go into the bios to enable this. But that doesn’t seem possible through shadow. Is this something the developers need to do on their end for me? edit - and shadow just froze on me when I tried opening both apps. This app is quite expensive so I need this to work at least with 90% efficiency. I get that it may not be perfect, but if there are any issues I need to take care on my end, I’m more than willing to troubleshoot. But if its their end and I can’t do anything about it….. we may have an issue.
hello do you also experience poor performance in WarZone? I am an ultra user and even with the graphics on low it does not reach stable 60fps with drops even at 40. Do you know if it can be solved? It is a problem of the poor optimization of the game or maybe because the Quadro is not a 100% dedicated graphics card to play ?
I’m starting to wonder if I’m missing something here. So, shadow runs OK on my Surface Pro 5 and perfect on my Desktop PC (which is expected)Shadow lags, and stutters a lot on my mini PC and my Samsung Note 9, almost the same.I thought my Samsung Note 9 would be no problem, as I’ve seen people claiming it runs well.I did a speed test on my phone and it’s about 80-100 MBPS on a 5GHZ connection. Is there a possibility it’s my shadow PC? I have tried ALL settings and had a conversation with someone else here, but with no solution to the issue. I’m running out of reasons why it’s so lagged/stuttered.
Hello, I am using the Razer Kraken 7.1 and when I try to use discord, games, spotify, or even youtube videos. There is a awful static and stuttering all the time. You can’t make out any words. It is getting really annoying that I can’t hear game audio, players, music, or anything
Hey Guys, I’m a little bummed because I think I might have made a mistake. I purchased the mini pc in the Amazon link below. I had looked at a few, and this one was priced where I thought it would have enough power to run shadow. I mean, my Windows Surface Pro runs it FINE and that was $500, so why shouldn’t a $325 mini PC that doesn’t come with a screen or anything NOT work. That was my mind set. Unfortunately, I’m not a PC hardware guy and I just don’t know what I’m looking at. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CBFY819/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 So, It's connected to my 150/mbps internet via ethernet cable. I minimized all backround processes as possible and ran Shadow. The good news it s that it runs. The bad news is that the amount of lag pretty much make it unplayable. It’s probably half a second to a full second of lag. I've tried changing all the shadow settings different ways to see if there was a magic spot where it would work, but there's always
As stated from the r/ShadowPC reddit; First off, I would like to say that using Shadow was a life altering experience for me as I had made all my edits (video editing) on there seeing as how I cannot do it on my real PC as it’s not strong enough to use the program. Without Shadow, I wouldn’t have met countless friends on games that I cannot run on my normal PC. Throughout using Shadow from these past years, there were bumps on the road with this service but they never cease to bring me a valuable and amazing gaming experience. I loved and was proud to have owned a virtual machine. My real PC couldn’t run literally 80%-90% of the games I play now, but with Shadow, I was able to run them with ease. Now, let’s talk about the present (at the time I am writing this.). Yesterday, I was making the most of my Shadow and was just setting up my Discord to look fancier using BetterDiscord. I went to go lay down on my couch whilst music was playing and then the music had suddenly stopped. I went t
Hello, I finally got my Shadow, and I was wondering if I could upgrade my windows 10 to Pro, because I bought my Shadow to do some work as a Developer and my company uses exclusively Microsoft software and there is a program that I have to use that exclusively work on Windows 10 Pro.I was wondering if someone here did something similar, and would advise me for or against upgrading the Windows version. Thanks in advance for all your responses :D
So I've been playing modded minecraft (oceanblock to be specific) and I've noticed I'm only getting about 35 to 40 fps average. My friend plays the same server and even came to my base where I was having framerate issues and never dropped below 60 and he has a worse pc than shadow. 8 gb ram older Intel I5 and gtx 750. I have checked the internet I get 100 down 70 up to MY pc and have shadow set to 60 mbps. This is also in game lag as it's the f3 debug screen I'm referring to
Application type: Windows Shadow Client Version: Official Local device CPU: i3 6100U @ 2.3 GHz RAM: 8 GB Local device GPU: Intel HD graphics 520 Datacenter location: Dallas Connection speed: Dallas server 120 MBPS - ping 23 ms Description of issue: There is distortion in the audio like a crackling sound occasionally and it is pretty annoying. I can reproduce it even changing the volume from windows volume icon without running any games. The ding sound gets distorted and crackling. It was like that since the beginning (20 days ago) I tried changing to stability mode, enabling/disabling high def audio, updated nvidia drivers, nothing worked. There are no glitches in the video, just the audio. Connected via ethernet cable, bandwidth is set to 70 MBPS, my internet BW is around 400 MBPS. Other: Date when problem appeared. (from the beginning, which is 20 days ago) Did you take any action(s) which could have created this problem? If so
Hi everybody, All my games work great with Shadow.tech. Only probablem game is Starcraft 2. At 4k resolution, the game locks up and shadow app keeps retrying to set the resolution. If I set the Shadow app to 1920x1080 then Starcraft 2 works just fine. I can’t have the shadow app and windows at 4k and then have the game play at 1920x1080. I must have the shadow app at 1920x1080 and then the game will play and show a max resolution of 1920x1080. It’s not a really big deal, but all the rest of my games I play at 4k. Does anybody have any ideas of what I’m doing wrong? All the best!
Hello, I'm running into an issue while using the Shadow app on Android, and I'm having trouble finding the culprit. Not sure if it's an issue with my setup or something to do with Shadow software. When trying to use a game controller with my Shadow PC, I still get the text pop-up that states that the controller is identified and connected, and I even see the controller appear normally in the Windows settings on the Shadow PC. However, the input from the controller isn't being passed on to my Shadow PC, and is instead affecting the Android UI. Primarily, the A button will open the Quick Menu from the Shadow app, and the B button will navigate me away from streaming and back to the main Shadow app menu. This effectively means I haven't been able to play any games on my Shadow PC from the Android app while utilizing a game controller. I've experienced this issue while using any of the controllers that I have available to me, including two different USB Xbox controllers, an 8Bitdo blueto
