Just being grateful :)

Just really want to say thank you to all the developers, techs, gamers and team that brought this idea and concept to reality. It has done more than gaming for me, it has help me to use applications that otherwise I wouldn’t be able to run on my basic computers. Thank you and have a wonderful time! :))

A shadow history lesson - Is the promise of upgraded hardware at no cost real?

This post will hold historical data of all the hardware upgrades shadow underwent for now its just placeholder     Still need to get dates and specifics straight but afaik GPU went from a 1070 to a 1080 to the new tiers now there was also the CPU upgrades 2.1 to 3.2 to 3.0 Ghz and new tiers.   unsure if there was anything else before.

Do you struggle using shadow on 2.4 GHz WIFI in a densely populated area because your PC does not support 5Ghz? If the answer is yes this post is for you!

Hi everyone, throughout this post i will try to explain the pros and cons of 2.4Ghz wifi and what you can do to try and mitigate the issues as well as how 5Ghz can solve many of those problems.     2.4Ghz and its limitations So the biggest issue with 2.4Ghz wifi signal is that within a densely populated area such as an apartment building the WIFI signals from everyone’s independent routers will overlap, causing interference which in turn will cause ping spikes and packet loss for you when using shadow. So if you see a lot of networks from your laptop this might be your issue. look at the next image for an example of overlapping networks that will cause issues!   2.4Ghz network overlaps  What can you do? You can see on the image that there is no free channel available, no matter the channel you pick, you will always overlap with other networks. Now your situation may be different, maybe you have a couple of channels you can see are free and wont overlap with any other

R:102 (Rare) Your internet is down

If you get this error be sure to check to see if your preferred device is connected to the internet. If on wifi check to see if you are connected to an accesspoint. If on ethernet that you have an IP address.   If internet issues still persist please reboot your modem and wait 3 minutes for the modem to reconnect. Then check your preferred device to see if you have internet.

R:2 - The Launcher has failed to Launch Huston

Solution: Reset all settings in the client. Close the client and relaunch.

105 - AKA Streamer is Ready but the Client is not

If you get this error the streamer is rearing to go but there seems to be some issue at the user's end. Please check that your internet is working (you would know if it's not) or close the client and re-launch it.
