I realize that Shadow was designed as a windows 10 virtual desktop for gaming primarily, but it’s also good for non-gaming pursuits as well.
I actually got it for this reason exactly. I want to test different things out and see what it the cheapest equipment I can use to have a proper experience.

Besides stuff like rendering, as the machine turns off after 30 minutes no matter what something is running on it or not, whether open work is saved or not.

Yes, thats is annoyingly true… You have to move the mouse every 29 minutes, or loose progress.
I have just activated and likewise I want to use primarily for non gaming activities. Day 1, so far so good.
