My answer would always be shadow. Unlike stadia you are not limited by the streaming company. You can play the games you already own without needing to buy them again. You can also use the hardware to edit photos or videos and go to other creative sides. I mean with shadow you basically have your own computer that you can upgrade as you wish. Stadia is relatively fine but its just too limited

I mean you are in a Shadow forum, but hey
Its really more dependant on what you are using it for, to be honest.
If you like using a limited amount of games with less compatibility and a simpler UI then maybe look at Stadia?
But if you want to run games with mods or have more freedom with what you use it for, Shadow really just takes the win on that one.
Anyone else have some ideas on the topic?
Stadia hands down! Lol jk. 😂😂😂
This reminds me I gotta cancel Stadia before I get charged for a subscription.
Pay twice? nice try google.
From the reviews I’ve seen about Stadia it has really good performance and the games all look really good, but you need to remember that it’s just a gaming platform and you will need to purchase games exclusively for it and only it. You cannot use games from any library you already own like you can with Shadow.
So if you cannot get Shadow based on your region atm, and you don’t mind buying games more than once, Stadia is a decent option. If you can get Shadow and you have a library of games then it’s pretty much a no brainer IMO.
I want to try Stadia but I can’t see the benefit when you can only play games that are specifically built for Stadia.
For me the question is one of use cases.
I personally have no interest in building PCs any longer. Shadow gives me a current configuration for a decent gaming PC for less than the yearly cost I’d likely spend on upgrades. Not to mention that I can play my existing library of games on it as well as do other things that I’d use a PC for.
Quoting an article by digitaltrends:
It’s clear who wins the Google Stadia vs. Shadow showdown. Shadow is superior to Stadia across the board. Shadow users can play more games and will have a better experience. And, at least during your first year, Shadow will be less expensive.
Shadow is clearly the better of the two, the only advantage Stadia has over Shadow at this time is being operated and developed by Google.
In my opinion it isn't a good comparison. From my testing of shadow, stadia and geforce now, arguments can be made only for shadow and geforce now. Compression and an even more limited library than geforce now knocks stadia out of the running.
