Hello everyone,A new release is upon us for Shadow VR (Alpha). Go get it on Sidequest!Those are the top 3 improvements brought upon by this release: Reworked UI to match with our other apps Proper Quest 2 support / We have fixed the IPD issue Implemented a workaround to be able to start Shadow VR while the Shadow is Shut down Full Changelog:Reworked UIOur team believes in starting small and fast, releasing then polishing. Our previous launcher design was never meant to stay but it was fast to implement and functional. Changelog ShadowVR Alpha 3.4.5

Hello everyone,Today we are making a small release to deliver a first iteration of our 2D Desktop mode for Quest.That’s it. That’s our Changelog :)Download the app from Sidequest and give it a go.You can now access your Shadow Desktop from within the home of ShadowVR at any time. Feel free to fall back to this mode whenever ShadowVR seems to be stuck for example. You might just have to interact with your Shadow desktop to fix it.We would be happy to hear your suggestions on how to improve this mode (of course we have already several in mind ourselves). Next steps for the team:Application interface improvements Fixing IPD issue where the image would be deformed at certain IPD Fix terrible perf issues when starting Shadow VR from a shutdown ShadowHappy new year everyone,

Go get it on Sidequest!We have focused this release on the three Pillars I wrote down in our previous changelog a month ago: Changelog 3.2.4 (19/11/20)Supporting Oculus Quest 2 at 72hz Improving head movement fluidity by implementing VSync Removing update times between Alpha Desktop clients & Shadow VR (Alpha).Changelog:Oculus Quest 2 supportYou can now use the app on Oculus Quest 2 natively without resorting to an IPD change workaround. The proper resolution is applied at launch.Vsync implementationWe are aware that shaky/jittery head movement is the biggest turn-off of the app at the moment. It makes it hard to enjoy VR at this stage.We believe with the implementation of Vsync we are making a step forward to a more acceptable experience. We still have work to do on the way we predict and send frames but you should already notice a difference.This comes with improved frame timing & improved prediction.Faster switc

Hello everyone,We are releasing several modifications to the Shadow VR (Alpha) app today.  Get yourself the updated version on Sidequest now.This release is focused on fixing launch issues. We want to make it more reliable to get into SteamVR without experiencing difficulties (mostly crashes and reboots).Changelog: Reworked Shadow VR launch With this reworked launch cycle we believe there should not be anymore occurrences of users landing on a zoomed-in 2D desktop screen with the SteamVR monitoring panel running instead of the SteamVR home as expected anymore.                                                            This should also reduce the number of users being stuck on ‘’Starting Shadow VR’’We believe with these changes the following reports should have been dealt with :) Shadow VR Alpha can't start streaming 1487 Everything is set up properly but no head tracking or stereoscopic 1507 Shadow VR refuses to start 1512 App hangs on starting Shadow VR 1530    There might still
