Since the new update my audio on shadow doesn’t work, the client doesn’t even show on my volume mixer locally and I’ve tried reinstalling the launcher and restarting my pc, so I think this has to do with the update.

I can second that.
Just few hours ago bought a shadow sub and as i was setting things up i realized there was no audio. It displays in the volume mixer in shadow client, but the app doesn’t even appear locally.

Yeah it must be an issue on their part which I’m sure they will fix soon.

Good evening folks!

That is sadly an oopsie that seemed to have happened in a recent update. Here a step by step guide to resolve this issue (has been working for 99% of the people):

  • Head into your Shadow Launcher and un-tick the “Keep my drivers up to date” option. If you skip this step Shadow will proceed to revert all changes made to the drivers in your next session.
  • Enter Shadow
  • Download NVIDIA Geforce Experience
  • Open the installation file and walk thru the set-up process
  • Log in or sign in using whatever email you like
  • Go to “Drivers”
  • Download the latest driver (if available). By installing Geforce Experience you might have also already automatically updated to the latest drivers, but if there is a new driver available go ahead and download it.
  • When done downloading the program will ask you if you want a custom installation or an express installation. Select “Express installation”.

Your sound should be working now. If not, give your local PC and your Shadow a small reboot. For Shadow, please press “Shut down” instead of “Reboot”.

Possible error:
It may be the case that Geforce Experience shows you an error when launching it or when trying to update the drivers. In that case head to your Windows Apps and Features section and remove Geforce Experience. Download it again and start at the beginning of the guide above.

Please let me know if this worked out for you! My fingers are crossed for everyone.

Thanks, worked for me as well. Should we now leave “Keep my drivers up to date” option unticked or is there a point in time when this can be turned on again?

Wish I had seen this 5 mins ago before I hit the reset button on my server. oh well.
