Can't launch Doom Eternal?

Hey all!

I’m running the Shadow Boost (via my MacBook Pro) and I’ve been trying to play Doom Eternal via Steam and it doesn’t seem to work. When I click the launch button it says that the game is running. After a few seconds it plays an alert tone (it’s the alert tone from Metal Gear Solid? I have no idea why. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yGfQak-q9M), and then a few seconds later the game quits and Steam switches from running back to launch game. No UI pops up or anything. Has anyone seen anything like this for Doom Eternal or any other game? Would appreciate the help!
