Error L-203

I am using Shadow infinite in Europe so my Datacenter would be Gravelines. 

Recently I get a lot of Error L-203 which indicates to many users. Problem is, that I do not see any problems on the status page regardless of me trying to connect for about 20 Minutes without any luck. 

What can i do about this problems. And if its a capacity problem, why isn´t it shown on the status page?

Hey!
L-203 means that too many users tried to connect, or are connected already, to your datacenter at the same time. You can’t do anything beside waiting. Issues are only shown on the status page after a little amount of time, but not if it is at max capacity. There is no point in displaying an incident when you see that there is an incident when you try to connect. But if you want to get informed quickly you can join the shadow discord community where many people report problems. So we know about an incident way earlier than many other people. Have a nice day!

So it is not seen as an incident if the capacity limit is reached for serveral days in a row? Is that not a disruption of service which users should be made aware of on the status page? 

If you have a status page it does make sense to report all ongoing incidents there, which shadow has been done in the past. 

With your argumentation the status page in generall would be useless, since all information can be shown when i try to log in. 

And the error messages links to the status page for further information. Why is that then?

I subscribed and waited patiently for my build, I pay every month as I have for nearly 2 years and you can’t achieve the required capacity ? Utter joke. your severs should only prevent access in the evcent of a fault. Come Feb I’m leaving shadow. This is just not good enough.

I am experiencing the exact same issue and this is really disappointing. As a paying customer, I pay for performance and at the moment Shadow can't deliver. Really looking forward to hear the plans to prevent such things from happening in the future.

I didn’t want to say that they shouldn’t update the statuspage.. You are completely right. They should update it when it lasts longer than a day, but the status page is a third party page. I don’t know how shadow can influence that.

Long story short. You have dedicated storage that only you have access to. The actual server changes to one that is available when you sign in. Not everyone is signed into shadow at the same time so making a unique server for every single user isn't smart financially. So they use an estimation of max users to estimate how many servers they need. That's completely understandable, and fully acceptable that this happens once. But in my opinion it is Shadow's responsibility to anticipate on these large numbers and scale up their service to prevent this from happening in the future.

Yes but they bought it and they decide which information to feed. It is possible since it happened in the past to show this problems on the status page in a timely manner. And don´t get me wrong here. I do know that is a delicate problem to solve how many machines for how many users. And I accept, that sometimes I cannot play immediately. But please be open about the problem which occur. capacity is a problem users will notice.
